Doors - Final tour in Pittsburgh's Civic Arena, 1970. They were touring on the Morrison Hotel album. It wasw post-Miami. Jim was grunged out with workshirt in jeans. The version of "Soul Kitchen" that appears on the double live album is from that show.
I'm happy to announce that the Doors just released this show on CD. Recorded live May 2, 1970, the CD features 18 songs including a 22-minute experimental version of "When The Music's Over" when Morrison led the band through samples of songs the band had never performed live.
I remember the Doors being very workman-like that night, very tight and cohesive---unlike me and my friends! Anyway, a friend called me this morning and told me about it, and I got online and ordered it right away. If you are a Doors fan, I would recommend picking up this show for your collection.

Watkins Glen--Summer Jam, July 1973. This show really should be on my list above. It was the Grateful Dead, The Band and The Allman Brothers. My buddy Larry and I hitchhiked from Pittsburgh with six peanut butter jelly sandwiches, a few apples and an ounce of dope. Fuck it. Put this show at the top of my list!
Frank Zappa & The Mothers at the University of Pittsburgh.
I had an older sister that went to Watkins Glen, free love and drugs, tell me you didn't see her.

She was your sister? Sorry, dude. Once she pulled out that big chunk of blonde hashhish, all we could do was enjoy the moment. Come to think of it, she did mention she had younger brother who she was very fond of.
