It all depends on what you're looking for. For me at that age it was hooking up with girls and getting lit up like a firefly just to feel the living night.
Fleetwood Mac Rumours is probably the best example, even though I quoted from Rush's Subdivisions.
"The Chain" is arguably the best makeout song in history.
. Now that is like on the charts almost forever.

The sound, harmonies, chord progressions, and production were so far ahead of it's time. Boston laid the groundwork for the future success of REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, and many others. Pop music disguised as rock ? Who cares. They were the pioneers of a great era in R&R history. It was music to the ears.

Dark Side, Rumours, Born to Run are definitely top 5 imo. Rumours is easily the best pop album ever. It's almost 40 years old, but many of the songs on that album stand the test of time. If Meeting Across the Rivers not on BTR, what's the weakest song, Night? She's the One? When Backstreets is probably the 4th best song and Born to Run may not be the best song on the album, that's a hell of an album.
