I am trying to create a Spotify playlist 90's music only.
Not looking into any particular genre so long as it was released during the 90's. Any songs you have in mind?

Any song from

Tragically hip: Road Apples, Fully Completely, Day for Night, Phantom Power

Also probably in minority here but love Blind Melon Soup.  Walk and Toes across the floor are great tunes.

I love 1990s R&B.  One of my favorite genres.

Boyz 2 Men, Shai, Silk, SWV, TLC, Dru Hill, 112, BBD, Babyface, Genuine, Hi-Five

I love rock music but I'm in the minority of not liking that depressing 1990s grunge sh!t.

If you're going with 1990s rock, it's thrash metal, punk or nothing.

Lol.. I knew the folks from up north with chime in on Tragically Hip.

They are an absolute solid band that would put many to shame.

If you like good ol' rock & roll, then check them out.

the west coast dominated the 90's imo, from the Seattle bands to the socal punk movement to the early death row rap scene to the early nu-metal

Mad Season, only one album but great.

Portishead, if you like erie trip hop or whatever you want to call it, they were one of a kind.

Gotta give due to Pearl Jam, not their biggest fan but they put out solid tunes.

You can never really go wrong with the rap artists of the mid-90s. Tupac and Biggie are still awesome with their mix of amazing beats with thoughtful lyrics. The perfect mix.

The Smashing Pumpkins for me.

And last year they released a very 90's sounding album "Cyr"

Video worth watching for the dancing girl (if you don't like SP):

Nice song suggestions here. Hmm, I suggest that you also check out some 90s playlist on Spotify and get some ideas from there. I did that when I made my 2008 playlist and I was really amazed to see some songs that didn't come to my mind. Sometimes it's just amazing to look back on things like that. Really amazing. Love 90s songs. If you finish that, can you please share a link here? thanks!

My thoughts exactly. Anything R&B. R. Kelly, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Mariah, Whitney, Dru Hill, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Donnell Jones, etc
