Rollins has never hit 300 and only in 2007 was he better than jeter. Jeter 4 rings, ws mvp, countless postseason big hits. Rollins .227 career playoff hitter. Jeter>rollins. End of storry
we're not talking career, we're talking right now & right now Jeter isn't even a top 5 SS
i'd take Rollins, Jose Reyes, Hanley Ramirez, Alexei Ramirez & Miguel Tejada before him

Jeter gets pitches to hit because the 6 batters around him are all All-Stars..which is why he is wearing 4 WS rings..I could bat .300 with those guys hitting behind me..and talk to me when he wins an MVP award that really matters..oh wait that will never happen

Maybe. I thought he meant career. I dont have a problem saying shortstops a DECADE younger than him are better. They should be. Jeter is still good though

guys of course there are better younger players in the league right now.....he has been around for 13 seasons...but to try and criticize Jeter, especially in this game, you couldn't be coming across looking like bigger fools.....the guy simply does his job game after game, year after year.....and comes up huge in big spots....(see the 5 inning homer and 6th inning double to put his team in front today)

In 2006 when jeter came close there was no realy guy that stood out. Morneau deserved it but jeter could have as well. Jeters 06 was very similar to pedroias 08. Did pedroia deserve it? Probably but it wasnt an eyepopping year and i think quentin would have won it if he didnt miss september
