We have the battle of 2 lefties in the getaway day game between guardians and angels. Messick starts for guardians and faces a lineup who has already struck out 115 times vs lefties. Its music to the ears of Messick who has a 28 percent strikeout rate and is pne of the top pitchers for chase rate in the league. Detmers goes against a guardians lineup who barely hits for power against lefties putting up a 148 ISO on the year.  With angels struggling at the plate messick should have his wau while detmers holds serve and does just fine.under 7 early for me

Messick over 6.5  strikeouts-115 - 5 units

Messick 8 +strikeouts +170 - 2.5 units

Messick 9 + strikeouts +310 - 1.25 units

Angels lineup is struggling and they suck vs lefties.  Messick last game hit 7 strikeouts and 2 of the last 5 starts has hit 9 strikeouts.  Righties have only hit 221 vs him and angels are sitting schanuel one of their best hitters in a crap lineup.

I went with dodgers run line… they have lost last few with him pitching… and he has pitched well… coming off 4 straight losses…. Correlates to Mookie coming back… he can’t hit anymore… played his best last year in postseason… love Mookie … but he should not be number 2 hitter on this team…  dodgers with best pitcher going… off 4 straight losses… etc….  Appreciate your time n efforts BC.  

I went with Messick today as well. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have it today . He is missing most of his pitches thus far, losing his counts , walking batters and his change-up just looks off.
