Will Cliff Lee be -300 against the Marlins/Javy Vasquez tomorrow?

I'm not positive but I don't think we've see a -300 fav yet this year. Decent chance it happens tomorrow--if not literally -300 then somewhere around -275.

I can't recall one off the top of my head this year either. Do remember Cliff Lee last year in his first start as a Ranger was -420.... and of course lost.

-225 is suspiciously low given how well Philly's playing/how shit Fish are playing/Lee turning it around of late/Vasquez being the worst starting pitcher in the NL. Crazy to say but -225 is suspiciously low, especially if Halladay gets the w tonight.

I don't have any stats in front of me but I do remember javy being good against philly in the past when he was on atlanta

last game vs the phils he went 4 1/2 innings 9 hits 5 ER and 1 walk.

Ok, do you guys truly believe that -225/+200 is the right line for this game tomorrow? Should it not be even higher than that? This looks like the Phils should be at the very least -260, looks fishy with them coming off a walkoff win/doubleheader sweep/them flying out to Seattle for a series starting on Friday night. VERY tempted to bite on Javy tomorrow, maybe the under if not the Fish.

Phillies are -220 but I'll take them -1½ runs and maybe the Over 8.

Fellas, you guys are overreacting way too much.

Lee was -200 to the Cubs (Garza), -185 to the Dodgers (Lilly), and -140 to the Reds (Bailey) in his last three home games. There is absolutely no way he would then be -300 to the Marlins and Vazquez. In reality, the Marlins are no where near as bad as they are playing and are in fact probably being devalued right now. They had that game tonight and should have won it... some timely hitting in the right places saved the Phillies tonight.

In my opinion this line might even be a shade too high at -220. I would say that on a neutral field Garza and the Cubs vs. Vazquez and the Marlins would be around even, so the same -200 line would be appropriate.

I agree with tone... especially with philly going for a sweep that's high you guys are crazy calling that low

Phils will rest Utley, Ruiz, maybe more.  Take the + money.  Phils have a solid history of winning Thurs afternoon games but there is no value in betting them tomorrow

claude lets call things what they are.....you gotta like the chances of ANY closer with a 2 run lead to close the game against the bottom half of a national league lineup.

so the way i'm looking at it, i got 100 to win 250 on cliff lee at home tomorrow vs javy vazquez. if i don't win, god have mercy

Vazquez has been nothing in comparison to those 3 pitchers,,

imo, this line is not where it should be

  -fish lost 2-16 last 18
  -phils 9-2 last 11 i believe
  -vazquez ERA last 3 over 11.00
  -cliff lee on mound...
......

yet i dont even get double my bet on fish 195, smells fishy.

Quick note on Cliff Lee and the Phillies..

At home this year the Philllies with Lee on the Mound at -1.5 runs are 5-1...

They're actually 5-3, two losses and a 4-3 win over MIL

i dont think anybody is going out on a limb thursday by taking the phillies considering all the success theyve had, but that is no value on them if you are a real baseball gambler

Check this out!!! ,,,,, phillies have been the biggest fav on the board 14 times this season and have won 13 of them, the last 13 in a row!!!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the biggest fav on the board is 17-2 the last 19 days!!!!   ,,,,,,,,,,, the phils have been the biggest fav on the board 7 times the last 11 days and won them all.
