why VEGAS is opening Nationals as a favorite over the Braves?

in worst case imo this game shoud be at even. or maximum at -115 for  Strasburg.  Strasburg just sucks 1-4, 3.16 ERA on a season. and they opening nats as a huge road favorite Vs a team with still the best record at the moment in  NL. and The Braves outscored Washington 18-5 while winning all three games in the nation's capital from April 12-14, including a 3-1 win over Strasburg in the middle game of that set. 

are you kidding me? it's absolutely a huge value play of the day on the Braves ML. No?? Any other thoughts on this game?

I don't know, Tigers just pasted the Braves 3 days in a row, not sure which Braves team will show up.

Assuming Strasburg actually remembers how to pitch, I think the under might be a decent play depending on the number.

Yeah what is said above add to the fact Braves coming off a 9 game roadtrip and playing on Sunday night.  This is not a good spot for them. Its either Wash or no play!

I couldn't take anything you said seriously after you said that Strasburg sucks with a 3.16 ERA. You do realize that the 1-4 record is simply an indication of lack of run support.

Are you kidding me? Do you know anything about baseball? Did you just say that the starter with the 19th best WHIP in the National League (out of 75+ starters) sucks? Not to mention a guy who has a SO to Walk ratio of greater than 3.

Even if his year-to-date stats would have really "sucked", you still haven't seen the best of Strasberg this year. If you knew anything about baseball, you would know that most great pitchers really get it going in the summer heat of June thru August. 

By the way, I'm a Braves fan so no need for me to defend Strasberg. The smart play in this one is the Nationals.

oh. forgot to add that at Turner Field, he's 1-2 with a 6.28 ERA. So   Strasburg   overall still sucks. if you are sayin that  Strasburg is not sucks then you are just troll man and no nothing about baseball :( thats all can i say

i think you don't know nothing about baseball. you haven't mentioned this: Strasburg is 0-4, 5.55 in his last four starts. SO YOU'RE SAYIN TO ME THAT HE NOT SUCKS YEAH????????????

U again.....SS is one of the best pitchers in baseball...He melted down in a horrible start in Atlanta last year..95 degree's...

The Braves are a tired team...Nats owe them for the sweep in DC...

Nats will be ahead of the Braves by Mid May.and playing deep into October....period...

Haha, I would mention this stat except that if you remove the first of those 4 starts, he has a 2.37 ERA in his last three. Last time I checked, 2.37 is pretty good.

It's actually 4.06 in his last 4 starts not 5.55 so stop making stuff up

and he has a 2.38 era in his last 3 starts
so basically you think he sucks because of one bad game

Well he judges pitchers off of win loss record, lies about there era's and thinks a guy sucks when he has one bad game so safe to say he isn't all that bright.

Papi and shrimp nailed it. Braves strike out a ton, and just so happen to facing one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game. First game home after a road trip, which finished up by losing the Sunday nighter. Nationals look pretty good to me.

To top it off Nats have lost 7 straight to the Braves.....  

Idk who will win but it sets up as a good spot for the Nats.  
Braves strike out a lot
Just coming home after a sunday night game and got swept.


The line is like it is because it is Strauss vs a nobody

remeber braves are coming home of a 10 game road trip, where they played in crap weather the whole trip, and take into they played the late game on espn last nite. They may be a bit wore down. If I play i'm on washington.

The team that strikes out the most also has the most homers I believe. Everyone can put stats to prove their view. That's why sports is awesome. Gl tonight guys.
