thats bullshit.

hes from ohio, plays in ohio and gets fucking paid from everyone of the 50 thousand fans sitting next to him. and the other 3 million cleveland fans watching on their 19 inch black and white tv's.

sure be a closet yankee fan if you must, but that is a slap in my face if i am a cleveland resident.

I wouldn't get up in arms about a Knicks player wearing a Cleveland cap.

First of all there isnt a knick that is as beloved and important to a city than Lebron is to cleveland.    And to do it AT Cleveland?  WTF?

Like I said in the other thread.  I wouldn't get up in arms about A-rod wearing a Cleveland Cavs hat at any basketball game.

I just don't think it's a big deal.

You can't tell the kid to stop liking the yankees just cause there playing the INdians.  Just doesn;t work like that, sure he would support the homw team if they were playing anyone else

a couple points.

AROD is not New York.  He is a leased commoddity.    He is nowhere near the icon in NY as Lebron is in Cleveland.   Completely different scenario.

I would be there are thousands (litterally thousands) of Cleveland residents that are shocked by this.  Maybe even pissed.

How about KG in Angel red at Fenway?
Elway sitting front row at coors field today with a fucking Mike Schmidt jersey on?

Come on.    Slap in the face in my opinion.

Stop mentioning KG, he is still more Minnesota / Twin Cities than he is Boston. If A-Rod is a commodity, KG's "city" would still be Minneapolis, as they're still sore that he's gone.

As an American, I have always believed in free speech and the freedom to form and express your own opinion.

Of course, Lebron could possibly be doing this for other reasons than being a yankee fan.  Maybe he's annoyed with Cleveland (as a city) putting too much pressure on him because he's the only player on the cavs worth more than a Million a year.

Maybe he's just doing it to be in the spotlight while B-ball season is out...

Cheer yer ass off in your home, or at least wait til the game is at yankee stadium and then show up.

To parade around The Jake wearing a jersey from the playoff team you are playing right now?

I would think that if Derek Jeter were at a Knicks / Cavs playoff game with a Lebron jersey on, it would cause a little stir. He'd be in the papers and everything.

It may not bother some, but enough to make others make a big deal about it.

The ass beat down I can condone, but not throwing beer.  It's too expensive to waste when bought at a stadium! 

But just to continue my devil's advocating, why is it okay for him to wear the hat in Yankee stadium?  Or is it just "less offensive"?

It doesnt bother me that he likes the yankees.  it bothers me that he is wearing the hat on the front row of the jake being a cleveland sports icon.

if sabathia was wearing a manu ginobli jersey sitting front row in the finals last year he wouldnt make it out alive.
