We missed a 5-0 sweep last night cause of a 9th inning, meaningless HR by the 9 hole hitter for the Braves. Sale had a blow up 4th inning too where he walked two, hit two batters and gave up a weak single, all leading to 3 runs. Oh well, I'd make the bet again today if I could.
1* Royals/Guardians Under 6.5 -118
First, Gavin Williams and Noah Cameron are two very good pitchers, so I was expecting a 7.5-8 total to begin with. Then you add in the forecast in Cleveland, and it's awful. Right at freezing temps, with the wind blowing straight in from the open end in left. Pitchers will struggle with grip a little cause they won't be able to feel their fingers, but even hard hit baseballs aren't going anywhere today. These guys will do whatever it takes to get the hell off this baseball field as quickly as possible today.
1* Orioles/White Sox Under 7 -118
Damn near copy and paste the write up from above. The weather in Chicago is a weeeeee bit warmer, but not getting to 40 degrees. Wind blowing in. The Orioles offense hasn't come out of spring yet, and the White Sox, while averaging over 3.5 runs/game, I think they are a bit overachieving. This weather is just miserable to be outside in, let alone, having to play baseball in.
1* Diamondbacks/Mets Over 7 -108
A weeeeeeeeeeee bit warmer in New York, as they will see 50 degree temps, but the big difference between this game and the other two this afternoon, is the wind is blowing out to right, all day long, at over 20 mph. When you think of all the boppers in these two line ups, a lot of them come from the left side, so anything hit hard and pulled in the air will have a chance to get out. Peralta struggles with command when its ideal conditions, so when his fingers start to get a little chilly, how will he react. He doesn't have the dome in Milwaukee to keep him warm in this early season starts.

It's not often you're gonna get the Brewers at this price, let alone against a 2-8 team. Crotchet is great, and Milwaukee may not get to him, but the Sox offense is pathetic at the moment. Misiorowski is proving to be a great young arm, and certainly has the stuff to shut this line up down. The Crews pen is much more trustworthy at this point too. I think the big reason for the large number is the right handed loaded line up, leaving Yelich and Turang to come in once Crotchet is out of the game. I normally wouldn't take a team vs Crotchet, but this number makes it easier.
1* Cardinals/Nationals Over 7.5 -102
Liberatore has been the best starter for the Cards so far, but the Nats bats are hitting lefties better than anyone in the league, and it's a decent sample size. The Cards bullpen performed for us last night, walking 3 on the way to giving up 7 runs in 3 IP, and I would look for more of the same tonight. Cards bats should be able to muster 3-4 off Cavalli and the Nats pen, who is also very bad. Wind is blowing in, so probably won't be with the long ball, but 8 is still very acheivable.
1* Braves/Angels Under 8.5
Not quite the same pitching match up as last nights game, but the Angels aren't having a lot of success vs RHP so far, and Kikuchi faced this Braves line up last year, and only have up 2 runs over 5.2 IP while striking out 7.
1* San Francisco Giants +132
The Phillies are the worst hitting team vs LHP in all of baseball right now, and that checks out with all their lefties that they rely on for offense. But SF on the other hand is in the top 10 vs LHP. Now Sanchez isn't just any lefty, he's very good. But these Giants bats have to wake up at some point, and to get plus money with an ex Cy Young winner on the mound, you can't be too angry about it.
