A man dies infront of his child and 85% of this thread has migrated into arguments/discussions around religion, god and what announcers said.  Holy f*ck.  You'd think out of respect and decency that shit could be argued at another time.

No one who is "certain" some sort of higher power exists ever wins the battle. In fact, they always end up looking completely foolish, as both Rostos and lionheart58 do in this thread.

I feel sorry for this man who died yesterday, and for Josh Hamilton for being connected to it whatsoever (as it was clearly not his fault at all). Very sad tragedy.

It's also "sad" these religious people continue making themselves look like complete morons, but in a much different way.

WOWWWWW, I just read this whole thread. Interesting, Im sure PJ didnt mean any harm with the title, on top of that as a MAN, he apologized to those that was offended. First I want to say RIP to the guy who fell, thoughts are with the family and definitely the son. One thing that I learned is when you bring religion into a convo, it can get ugly. Me personally, I dont question anyones belief about anything, I have a lifelong friend who is a Baptist REV, my best friend is an Atheist, another friend is JW, Im saying that to say we all get along regardless of our beliefs. Maybe because I took the time to understand their beliefs as well, the atheist makes good convo, so does the REV, I was raised as a baptist myself. As a christian, do I question things sometimes, of course, do I disrespect anyone elses belief, NO. I do not judge. I will say this to those that are GOD FEARING, thru this whole thread I did not hear anyone mention SATAN (DEVIL). I will say one thing, you cant have GOD without SATAN. Since this was a tradegy, it should be chalked up to SATAN. At the end I guess everyone agrees that no matter who is at fault, ITS A TERRIBLE TRADEGY. My shout outs to the his FAMILY, and PJ for taking the time to try and accomplish something for the FAMILY. I think as a whole we forgot why he started this thread.

Yeah, it was an absolute tragedy for sure. However, the guy that caught the ball had no one to blame but himself.
