I knew when the shitty Manager for Brewers used Megill for (1) batter in the 8th inning, that they were gonna eventually “tank” this game. The writing was on the wall when he made this move!
It makes absolutely NO SENSE!
Hey DA! He is your closer! Do you not understand that closer means he closes-out the game! Drohan is a starter being demoted to the bullpen. Now you are gonna ask him to go in and close-out the game! He probably has a hot ass being demoted to the pen! I tip my hat to you Drohan!

Happily joining this rant. Not because we lost, but because of how we lost. You need 3 outs. And you win your first World Series. SHANE DROHAN?!… HUH. Even if you don’t want to put Miz in, why the fuck would you pull Ashby? What exactly are we saving these guys for? You win today and they get 6 months to recover.

He brought in Megill to face (1) better in the 8th inning Yandy Diaz, with 2 outs and nobody on base. Megill is his closer! DL had faced Yandy Diaz (2) times in his career and Yandy was 0-2. He had Megill warming-up early in the 8th, so DA manager decision was made way before we got to that point! WHY?
You corrupt piece of garbage!
Like OtisR said….loss by design!
Hey Cooper Pratt….your manager shit on your heroics!

How much money/income did this mean for Tampa Bay organization, who is building a new stadium. Nice assist by Brewers dumbass manager to Rays management. Not only do they not have to refund tickets bought for game 5, but parking, concession, memorabilia. This is why I don’t go to games and I don’t buy any memorabilia. I’m not supporting this corrupt organization!
By the way, dumbass Murphy used Megill when he did, because he knew the design was to extend series to game 5 and if he used him to close-out the game (like in the bottom of the 12th), then he wouldn’t have him for game 5.
This is the very definition of the word CORRUPTION!

Pat Murphy is a great manager and knows his team. The conspiracy theorist in me always shows up whether it's television or the stock market lol. However in this situation over the years as I aged I put myself in a coach or manager's place. We all have our own strategies and ideas. Nowadays with all the math, statistics, and data implemented into the sports world as in every other corporate sector, the tendency to rely on intuition, gut, or instinct is not as popular. However as the manager or coach you have to pick a hill and live or die on it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.
In this case road teams always have to win a game twice. Whether it's close or they take a lead late or in extra innings. The final three outs will always be the most difficult. So if you take a lead late then you have to save it to preserve the win. No walk off wins. So Murphy decided to use his main late inning relievers to keep the game tied. Not uncommon. Problem is you leave the final three outs to other relievers who may be competent in their roles but are now in unfamiliar scenarios. They also may be rusty from not having pitched daily because postseason is a much different schedule than regular season games. The error by third baseman did not help to start the inning too. Bottom line he played to keep the game tied and it worked. They also took the lead. Just had some arms out of their normal roles to try and steal a close road win against a very elite team in their own right. Personally I would have used Uribe, Senzatela, and Drohan to try and keep the game tied. Then if I do take a lead I have Ashby and Megill in their roles to get the fiinal three outs. But I'm no Pat Murphy or MLB manager by any means. Just my preference may work may not work either way there is always going to be hindsight.

That was definitely the fix. Bring in your starter tonight and plan your parade.
That cost me big. So obvious. Like eating at a restaurant that uses black plastic. They are no good. Brewers again tonight! Large and without the fake manager blowing it again.

Did Brewers manager use his “ closer “ Megill to close out the game?
The truth is…. he, manager, did not use his closer in game 4, but used a guy in an unfamiliar role and a guy who hadn’t pitched in 2 weeks with a (1) run lead in the bottom of the 12th inning.
You and he can mince words all you want…..what he, that guy who manages the Brewers, did, was exactly what you do to extend the series.
I guess FOX Network picked-up the bill to get this game played on Wednesday Night?
