I still like the Dolphins, as they fit into the G1 After a Bye look. I don't like the Saints, as they fall under the G2 After a Bye black cloud. I'm keeping the Fins.

Since this thread started as a chase the dog, my first chase of the series is home team scores first +155. Juice on the away is -185.
Some additional stats:
Away team has scored first in the first game of the series all 6 times this year. 2011 was 4-3 and 2010 was 3-4. Looking for a little regression back to the mean.
Detroit 2012 Season:
Scored first in 14 of 19 away Verlander starts
Scored first in 32 of 56 first games in a series
Scored first in 47 of 86 away games
Scored first in 14 of 28 away first games in series
Started away in both playoff series away and scored first
Scored first last 6 games (4 away)
SF 2012 season:
Scored first in 10 of 17 home Zito starts
Scored first in 29 of 57 first games in a series
Scored first in 42 of 87 home games
Scored first in 14 of 29 home first games in series
Started at home both 2012 series and away scored first
Scored first last 4 games (2 home)
All trends are pointing to DET scoring first, but taking SF as the home scores first dog on this one.

It seems like you choose a prop/total/side (i.e. team scores first etc.) preferably at +money at the beginning of a series. You then bet it until it wins. Is there a doubling of each bet after a loss to guarantee profit or what is the strategy?
Sorry if this comes across as elementary, I just am fascinated by this so I wanted to ask.

Any stats on WS home team dog 1st game results?
Proline is offering SF as a +120-125 dog, last time I saw Verly throw against NL was the all-star game, he didn’t do too well.
Semper mentioned about giants playing good ball in front of Zito all year and the vet doesn't get rattled in these situations. His last 3 starts the Giants won and total went over. Wondering what Semper's gut is telling him on this game? My gut tells me all the pressure is on Detroit to win this game, SF makes a good move throwing Zito in to face Verly, if SF can win this one that is huge momentum boost for SF and vice versa for Detroit if they lose.
But I am not a baseball guy so what do I know lol.
Hey Nads, how do NFL teams having played 3 straight games at home (SF) fare going on road as a fave? They also did not cover ATS last 2 home games but they get 11 days off since last game was Thursday against SEA and ARIZ up on Monday night.

Carolina +8.5 on road second game after a bye they did not cover against Crybabies (Chicago 2nd game off a bye week game, proline set number was 5.5 so Bears covered set line after bye week lol that hook is so important)

Edmonton and Winnipeg as +4.5 dogs on road

I got SF +155 on series yesterday and I don't see it any higher today, so that was lucky for me. If they lose game 1, I will come back for a play on the larger odds.
I just like the way they are playing right now. Det didn't have much of a challenge vs Yanks and SF fought hard to beat ST Louis.
