Snag,  so if you chase and bet up to 4 gms a series obviously you lose if you lose all 4 gms.  But if you bet the same amt. let's say for example $100 a gm. and the games odds are different each gm isn't it still a toss up of winning?  Say if 1st gm is -120 &2nd gm is -150 & 3rd is -160 & 4th is-180 isn't it hard to make money or am I missing something here?   I don't chase for the simple reason I don't bet every day.  Appreciate your input.  Thanks

At 150 odds per game, this is what the Chase would look like:

game 1... 1.5 units to win 1 unit

game 2... 3.75 units to win 1 unit

game 3... 9.38 units to win 1 unit

game 4... 16.13 units to win 1 unit

As you can see, when you get to game 2 and beyond you are not only playing to win 1 unit...you are also playing to win what you lost in the previous games so that you ultimately have a net profit of 1 unit.  Hopes this helps explain a bit and Good Luck on whatever plays you have going on in the sports world Hawkbet

I just saw this thread and reading it for the first time. I play chases atleast once a week mainly on mondays. i was just curious how you lost 16+ units in the very first chase if you were playing it for a half unit. Am i mis reading something? youre 21-1 and up only 4 units?
something seems not right.

JicJac..That's cool that you play chases at least once a week.  Refer to post 54 as an example of how a chase works and how many units are at stake the further the chase goes.  Hope this helps and Good Luck
