There's nothing better than waking up the next morning after a clean sweep the previous day. Being able to do it twice in the same week has been the cure for my flu. :)

A pitcher in Ogando who is clearly a flyball pitcher, and gives up a higher than average amount of line-drives, and features a fastball, slider and a rarely used change-up. Two of which the Indians are hitting with great success this year. Mix that with a horribly low first strike% which is due to correct his very good bb/9 rate, and a hitter friendly park which has seen a lot of hr's this year (just like arlington). How long can he continue to succeed with this mix? One plus, the Indians haven't seen him yet. Like Ogando, Masterson features a slider and fastball. Rangers hit both better than most in the league. Rangers have a good track record vs. Masterson, with the exception of Beltre. Also has a very low first strike%, can't be helpful vs. a team with good plate discipline (fewest k's in the league). Much higher strand rate than he's historically had (should regress?). Both teams scoring a ton as of late, and the only park that accounts for more hr's so far this year. Both teams also hit a ton of balls for extra bases.
Of course Ogando could just as well continue to pitch as well as he has all year, regardless of how many fly-balls he gives up ...
And the total is set at 8?

Leaning OVER 8, but don't like it enough to bet it. Either pitcher is capable of throwing a gem and completely ruining the Total. Any play on the OVER in this series is worth a look, but I'll pass.

Why are you people posting your picks and stuff in this thread, its nothing but toilet water in here. Make your own threads post your picks, post why you're taking them and post a record like most other people. The point of this forum is to discuss picks and games with one another.
If you don't feel comfortable making your own thread you can still discuss games in other peoples threads, and there is also WBA's play of the day thread. Somewhere SJP has only posted once

Stl is off 2 games in which they had 10+ hits and 5+ runs while losing both. Not too many teams in the MLB are going to experience that on back to back days. Now they get to face Dempster, someone whom the Cards have had success against. Its rare for the Cards to lose 3 games in a row. Once they did, they went on a tear! Cubs are in a bad spot. I expect Skip to be hitting in the 2 hole and he should cause Dempster trouble. Berks has been struggling, but a day off usually does the trick, cleaning up is what hes looking to do. Do me a favor, type in Dempster in chat box, right mouse click. Don't put your money there, Stl to cruse by 3+.
