That is odd, you really believe that they do not quit?
Quit may not be a good term, let us say not put forth 100% effort.
That my friend is human nature, just as natural to these athletes as chasing is to a gambler.
I have been around them for over a decade now. I have been in the locker rooms and seen what it is like. These guys do care what happens on the field but they have become so much bigger than the game itself. They are adored everywhere and have so much money it is staggering ( many cash paychecks over 500k). If they go 0-4 or 4-4 their contracts are now all guaranteed. After all it is just a game, go to the club and get bottle service while going VIP all the way and drink their sorrows away. There is always another team or club that will give them a shot at the end of the day.
Quit is a bad term, they do not quit. That said, the Nats right now are not focused. They are playing bad baseball and not cohesive. Really, they are highly over rated by the press and the pubic and have made me a lot of money this year fading them. Only the worst bullpen in the history of the game could bail them out and that said bullpen may do it for the whole weekend as the Rockies bullpen are more woeful right now than the quitters.
We will be friends bro, no reason why not.
I keep waiting for the best roster in baseball to "make a move" and here we are on 8/19 and it still has not happened, I am starting to feel certain it will not. I will not bet on the Nats with my money, nope, no way, not unless they get their focus back.

Well, I don't have time for a debate, and on top of being a former professional athlete myself, I do speak from a position of hands on experience as well as an invested observer. On top of that my theories, thoughts, ideas, and operating paradigm has made me a lot of money consistently year in--year out, so you'll pardon my not being willing to change it, nor would I expect you to change yours, and I hope yours profited you as much as mine did.
