I know Lauer intimately as he is a former Blue Jay and can be effective but I took into account how Pitt hit the Jays starters and relievers when they played in the past couple of weeks

- Yankees are 4 - 0 this season going for their 4th win in a row and I would take their hitting lineup in the clutch, and bullpen in a tight game any day.....and they have been the KING OF THE DAY game over the last 5 yrs along with the Dodgers

I plan on working on updating 2 game STREAK STATS once I get my World Cup pool just right ... $50 in a couple that I am playing and Tie predictions are worth more than WINS which I love .... one of them has Over and UNDER 2 sides too which makes it interesting so if the total lands on 2 ....you gain no points so your really have to know your stuff with injuries, form and soccer formation setups coming into the tourney starting here in Toronto on Friday...I might even be able to hear the hoopla from the stadium as I am only a couple of miles from the downtown where they are playing

Considerations today: - taking in Kings competition

Baltimore ML @1.90

-Orioles send out their best starter who rarely walks batters, has kept his era around 3.5 all season and has been good in his past couple vs a stronger hitting lineup with Toronto vs Seattle

-Kirby has been mediocre for 4 games and his ERA is now over 4.00 on the season.... Orioles still producing at the plate despite some hard luck losses

Dodgers -1.5 @1.80 

-Ohtani consistently dominant on the mound with era under 1.00 all season....no evidence of that changing any soon and especially vs an all of sudden weak hitting Pirates team ....so I looked into that and saw that they TEND TO LOSE every series vs a top team, and I expect the same here

-Pirates send a young pitcher out who got lit up in his debut at home and now has to face those demons in his head vs a formidable Dodgers hitting machine

Another game I just played in Kings:

Jays - Phillies OVER 8.5

-very humid and hot in Toronto and dome will be open ....no threat of T-storms until later after the game more than likely and they can close the dome in a hurry...... the damage will be done by then with Luzardo tends to get hit hard by the Jays and Scherzer I have come to know is not a great bet in heat ....he sweats too much, loses his grip and he is a fly ball pitcher so with the hot ground and flight out to the stands, I lean toward the OVER and Phillies tonight

Total in Oakland is 14.5 with 2 high era pitchers and 97F weather ....I can see it but chances are , one team only scores 5 and the other not 10

My favorite first round picks to hammer in World Cup:

#1 - Scotland win easily at decent price

#2 - Uruguay Under 2.5 > they worked on team cohesion and structure but reports out of camp were infighting and they played no prep games since March so I expect some rust and fallback to their system with their clever coach....they want to escape with a 0-0 tie or 1-0 win in their first game and THEN feel settled in

#3 - Brazil - Morocco TIE >> way too much respect for Brazil and Morocco is right behind them at #7 in the world rankings but that was all impressively hard earned...Brazil has been slipping in the Neymar god-like deity era and Vincius Jr can take over the game by himself but Morocco knows how to prevent players like him and possess lots of speed on defence

Cubs are a mess and have been for a while.....Colorado's Feltner with good numbers vs them and its cool wind blowing in from centre

I am elevating some soccer plays on some good intel/inside info on injuries and set up for their first games.....

Coming up, strongly consider:

1. Sweden 

2. Germany -3.5 vs Curacao

3. Japan/Netherlands Under 1.5 first half and likely UNDER 2.5 full game

4. ***strongly consider value bet Tie Japan / Win Japan....Netherlands excellent regular goalie out...big difference and Arsenal's top #2 defenders won't play for Netherlands...Japananese speed, verve, skill will challenge Netherlands on the counter attack like crazy and on the wings in general, opening up space for fast attacking strikers who are great with their feet and heads in an instant....if you watched South Korea play, Japan is that and moreso! I just picked up this intel on Netherlands in the past couple of days .... they are having trouble scoring with their attention to defensive structure since the spring and this might actually hurt them if Japan goes up 1-0 which they can .... and then the game opens up but I suspect a first half score could appear 0 - 0 with Japan with the bulk of chances
