Is Halladay and the Phillies... To easy?

I am a huge Phillies fan and I will be taking Doc and the Phillies in game #1, but IMO so will everyone else! Is this just to easy of a play? It is starting to scare me a little...

I would stay away from this one due to the 60% chance of rain.

Its better to ride the horse now , then wait till the end of the season when all his innings are going to add up, The dude is fresh, I wouldn't be suprised if he threw a consecutive shutout

I think the weather makes this a tough game to cap. It is 35 degrees here in Denver today. It is going to take a lot longer to get warmed up for a pitcher. Also, I'd wait til you see the lineups since you have a DH today. And also, Halladay is from Denver, so he may have a little extra adrenaline pumping, which could lead to wildness. Personally, I don't see why they would play in this weather, but if they do, I don't think Halladay is as easy of a pick as everyone makes him out to be. Just my 2 cents

The other pitcher has to contend with the weather also! Who do you think prepares themselves better than Halladay for ANY situation.

Not saying it's a no brainer but it's a good value bet.

Was Cook the scheduled pitcher yesterday? If so the line drop is just due to the cold weather and the uncertainty that brings. Or maybe the added chance of rain delay which takes Halladay out of the game early?

I'm still going with him.

Halladay will bring the A-game we will be alright....remember both teams are playing in the same conditions....Philly is a cold and bad weather state too, nothing they havent seen before

I agree that the weather is crazy and that anything can happen (it's baseball, after all), but if I can get the best pitcher in baseball for almost even money, I gotta take him and go double units!

game is scheduled 1pm local time

approx 38 degrees w/ 10% chance of rain

approx 4-6pm chance of rain is up to 60%

i will be cold but I seriously don' expect ANY rain delays

if anything they(umpires) will be in a hurry today

Halladay will not love to be on the mound, cold, humid, and a hitter's ballpark. Does he just toss it around and try give the team 6 or 7?

I really am not convinced he will sell out his body for this one, and have to believe the over is a better value.

Phils and Rockies are the top hitting teams in the NL. Hard to back an under.

No it is not " too easy ". Due to weather he has been pushed back a day. As a result he is off his usual pitch every 5 days deal. Pitchers are finely tuned and anything that throws them off schedule is NOT good.

Doc is the best pitcher in the game IMO, and I had a good sized bet on him last night, but I cannot touch him today due to the changed circumstances.
