Hi Vince. You should take a few minutes to read over the thread. I have answered this question before and many others. As I said earlier, when I bet run lines, they are always -1.5. Those odds reflect that. Technically they are alternate run lines/reverse, etc... but they are still run lines. I am just a tired old man so I get lazy sometimes. ;) Best of luck tonight with your picks.

So Gen when NHL starts how does betting that sport work? I have never wagered on a NHL game before. Is it ML and RL??

Russ, I bet the ML and Puck line (-1.5 goals) and Totals. Each bet is also 1 unit via flat betting. I always bet the same amount on every game, every sport. Odds range from -200 to +200. I am sure there are better betting methods, but this has always worked for me, flat betting. My personal units are well above $100 each, I just use $100 for this thread for easy tracking purposes.

Good job Gen....up 2.3 units at my book today.... is NHL your best sport usually? Are the ML and Puck Lines similar to MLB? I think I looked at NHL spreads last year during playoffs and I remember that almost all the totals were the same, is this always he case? You find better ML dogs in NHL, as well as puck lines. It's not uncommon to see puck lines +150 to +200.

Really depends on the teams playing. It's all about finding value in NHL. The worst team in the league can beat the best on any given night.

Sorry allinriver, I will not disclose how much I made. It really doesn't make a difference. You have no way of knowing if I am full of it or not. Just watch my record over the first month or so and if you see results your like, then tail at your discretion.

I like all sports except basketball. I do bet on it though. MLB and NHL make up the vast majority of my bets. I only dabble in NFL for fun, and NBA for the occasional plays. I never liked the NBA because players only play to their ability when they feel like it. The other leagues, most players will at least make an effort to get back in the game.

Hey guys, just got home. I locked in my BAL -1.5 run line at 2.65 (+175). KC run line locked in is 2.46 (+146). Wasn't able to update it before the game but I posted the play last night so I hope you guys got it in.

To all new people to the thread, please read the entire thread as I have answered the same questions over and over.

jYang, last night KC was a dog, so the run line was called the alternate run line. Money came in overnight on KC, so they are now the favorite. As I said many times, ALL run lines in this thread are -1.5.
