So the day starts with the better team, at home, with the better starter and better bats, losing ......

Odds defying as well because CUBS starter, Boyd, pitched VERY WELL....allowing only 4 on base thru 5.0 ip (2 ER and 6 K)

Seattle's starter, KIRBY, suffered a "bad outing" as anticipated, allowing 8 on and 4 ER in 5.0 ip

My bet on YANKEES violates my capping rule to WAIT for 2 consecutive GOOD performances at the plate before considering them again.  They had a good day yesterday but today was supposed to be a hard pass, except that I am experimenting with something different today and it calls for a bet on Yankees regardless...

...but sure enough, top of the 1st inning, Yankees "ace" starter, FRIED, struggles, allowing 3 on base, no K's, and 2 earned runs to the Orioles 

...of course....

8th inning and HEAVILY FAVORED Yankees appear to be on the verge of LOSING AT HOME once again... 

...and they do LOSE again with another weak performance at the plate

Their extended batting SLUMP continues...

I am laying off the NYY until they put together 2 good games "batting" back-to-back 

On my way to another horrific LOSING DAY....I need BOTH the Padres and Giants to win at home so I don't lose too bad....but right now PADRES are in deep trouble...

And the TWINKIES (at home) get mauled once again....

No real surprise there but my new trial method listed them so I bet them...

TWINS have only managed ONE hit all game...
