sweet -- with my whack ass jack i won on the Cubs game, I reloaded on Halladay for another unit and put 3 units on LA Manny.

If it wasnt Peavy, this line would be much higher for the dodgers. But Peavy isnt pitching like Peavy, its just a big name at this point without the big results. Peavy is bad at this point but he is especially much worse on the road sporting a 7.36 era this year and 4.28 era last year. His career road numbers are nothing special. He has clearly been helped out by the park he pitches in. The Padres have come crashing back down to earth after a hot start and have dropped 8 of 10.  The Padres get dominated by lefties hitting just .233 vs them this year and just .236 last year. Kershaw is much much better at home with a career 3.19 era compared to 6.49 on the road. To make it simple, the Dodgers have the better pitcher, better bullpen, better offense, and are playing better overall. I feel this line should be higher and the name recoginition of Jake Peavy has given dodger backers a reasonable price to back them. If Peavy comes out and dominates, so be it, I'll make this play in this situation every time.

I sure hope Kershaw can give us a good 7-8 innings. That bullpen needs it!

Great points. I already liked LA at home since they're 7-0, now I love'em. My bet is in.

hey aj my site has the tigers team total at 5.5 instead of the 5 you got it at. is it still a play at 5.5 do you think?

AJ, any concern that line fell to 220 in toronto after opening at -250. Just wondering if line movement plays a role in your capping? Thanks.

GL Aj , I think a lot of Peavy's games have gone over the total and although 6/7-1 v Dodgers he hasnt looked dominant this year at all, people still betting on reputation than abulity bit like betting the spurs v mavs, god acouple of years ago but now just looks tired and a shadow.

do you think a RL play at 8/5 is a bit tempting????

yyep - yankees more than the tigers, but I dont really like either all that much

fallapion - sometimes i look at it but its not a big factor for me and todays line drop doesnt concern me at all
