Timmy Cool....To answer your question, I like the Tigers tonight for a few reasons but the obvious reason is that I like the Tigers offense who have 6 left handed hitters in tonights line up against Masterson who has been awful as of late. Prior to Mastersons' last outing against Detroit on May 19th, he was 0-4 with a 5.14 ERA against the Tigers. However, he did pitch well on May 19th, giving up only 1 run on 5 hits but tonight, my money is on Detroit's offense. I'm trying to have a short memory regarding Sanchez as I realize he's struggled lately but this is his first start in Comerica which is a big ballpark and nobody other than Choo and Cabrera has either faced him or had success against him. Just like any pitcher, he struggled against Toronto because he was throwing cock high. He doesn't walk many and he's always around the plate so if he keeps the ball down in the zone, he should be able to get through 6-7 tonight. As well, Detroit is coming off a night's rest with obviously plenty of motivation while Cleveland is limping into tonights game coming of an extra inning loss in KC last night with their playoff hopes quickly slipping away. At this point in the season, I'm not interested in backing any team that doesn't have much to play for. I put a few units on tonight's RL as well.
