Capps is a power guy and LOADS more reliable then Rausch.  And with no idea if Nathan comes back next year, they had no choice (Capps is under contract for CHEAP next year).  Last time I checked, Ramos was behind J. Mauer.

Lee has been hurt. Ramos was a stud and Mauer will be your 1st baseman in the next 2 years, count on it.....

Inning over with no more damage... 3-2 Mets headed bottom 7.

Nats basically should have had 4 outs that inning if Dunn's fat ass would've gotten to the ground for that ball.  Jesus, slow chopper 2-steps to your left and you cant make the play...next guy grounds out.  Should be sitting at 2-2 still

And I respect your opinion, zonk.  MN really had no choice.  They are built to win now and they had to make a move.  3rd best record in baseball....they have to kind of go for it. 

5 years from now, I think Wash. will be really happy.  MN has proven they can develop talent so they have to use those resources for moves like that...they can't always go out and buy it.

Nats could have made this a comfortable easy win, but apparently that was boring, so why not make it a nailbiter.

Morneau moving to DH?

In 4 years, maybe.  Don't buy the 2.  Mauer has always said he wants to catch.  No guarantee he can't do it for a few more years.

Now, yesterday Joe Torre refused to sacrafice a runner and lose an out.. Manuel does so and it pays off.. regardless of dunn's efforts it makes me sick to see stubborn old managers refuse to do what is necessary.

Who is your reliever that was a setup guy from somewhere in OH? Not sure if that was Rausch or not, but he was unhittable as a setup guy last year and I figured he would be the natural replacement when you lost your closer before it started.
