Can someone try to help me read the MLB spreadsheet?  I keep hearing the number 4.5 and not sure what it is.

I like the Cards to win this thing and Jackson got shelled by them on Sept 8. May be a good over play.

Newfie- the West Virginia line opened at 4.5. Seems like Vegas is begging for WV money dropping it to 3.5. Reminds me of Air Force's line last week and we see how that went. Does Texas Tech have value at plus 4 -120? Thanks for all you bring to the table.

My main book doesn't have TT and the one that does has small bankroll. I'm still thinking about it.

More info on Cards game...

Both teams trend to the over when playing with a day off. The Cards have gone over in 13 of 18 this year in that role, while the Nats have gone over in 10 of 13 with a day off. In the series 8 of the last 11 here in Washington have gone over. The Cards have Carpenter making just his fourth start. In his last 2 here he has allowed 11 runs in 11 innings going over in both games. The Nationals have E. Jackson going and he has gone over in 4 of his last 5 vs the Cards and has a 5.62 era over his last 3 starts. 

Angle4U999:  Is the 7.5 a trap line for the over?  I thought the line should have been 8.  Does that tell us to play the under or am I looking to deep into the line here.

Thanks McShady. Angle, the over is looking tempting for St.L/Was. Both pitchers could get lit up today.

It seems with all that information trending towards the over I have to ask myself why is the total 7.5 and not 8. Over 7.5 is -115 and under -105. I am seriously thinking that Carpenter who IMO is a true grinder throughs a gem and the under comes through. Thoughts welcome

Is the over in the first game a thread play or is everyone playing their own side?  BOL today.

Time will tell but an interesting observation and sorry gentlemen about the word throws.

Check W Virg schedule and see if they have a big game against Okla or Kan St. I am hearing this could be a sandwich or look-ahead game. Therefore the line movement.
