Placed a wager tonight with Bovada. Placed it for over $600 and it was a prop pitching bet on the Blue Jays vs. Angels. I had Yusei Kikuchi with over 4.5 strikeouts. So when he hit 5 strikeouts tonight, I was ecstatic to say the least!
When I logged into Bovada, the bet wasn't graded and wasn't even in my open bets. So I got on their chat customer support and asked what was up. I did have a screenshot of the bet and it did say that the bet was pending in the screenshot (I made the bet several hours before the game). I have seen that "bet pending" almost every time I have ever made a bet with them. Didn't think it was a big deal.
This is what they told me: "I appreciate your patience, Thomas! As per our rules of general betting rules: The management of Bovada Casino and Sportsbook reserves the right to refuse or limit any bet and to restrict betting on any event at any time without advance notice.".
and
"I'm very sorry to hear about your experience, Thomas, and I completely understand your frustration. I know you were eager to place your bet because you believed you had a chance to win. However, please keep in mind that, as a sportsbook and platform, we have the discretion to accept or decline bets based on our policies and available information. We appreciate your understanding.".
They did this without any email, text, notification of any kind.
Wow, what an absolute joke Bovada is. I have been a customer for years (Probably around 6-7) and spend thousands of dollars with them. Pretty disappointing to say the least!

So, at some point after they had made the decision not to book your bet, they removed it from your pending bets. If you had checked prior to game time, I’m guessing it would not show as a pending bet? Still…..
I’m starting to feel sick, also!
This kind of reminds me of those signs at the betting window at horse race tracks……check your tickets before leaving the window. Ugh!
Hang in there Thomhee!

Be careful though taking their crypto deposit bonus. If you get say $150 bonus (deposit of $300 or more), it will take you forever before you are able to withdraw. You have to make a shit load (30 or more) before you are able to. It's pretty much not worth it.

No, never really had a problem that I can recall.

Yes, I'm sure if I would have checked prior to game time it would have been removed from my pending bets. But what do they think, I have time to login to their site every 15 minutes to make sure my bets have been cancelled? I mean they are the one who offered the bet to me in the first place (bet was available on their site). It took me quite a bit of time to find this bet, do my research and then place it. This was the only bet I had placed for the night.
And what really pisses me off is they never notified me that they weren't allowing the bet and wouldn't tell me why they cancelled it. I mean this is over $600 and they wouldn't even let me converse with a manager.
Getting all pumped up and excited that you won a bet to find out they just deleted it from my account is a pisser to say the least!

@thomhee, just go to the bovada community board and post your screen, it will get resolved. I had a very similar issue earlier this year when I hit a $1,600 parlay, I didnt realize a bonus was attached to the deposit causing the issue, once I posted in the forum I was immediately sent a message from Bovada explaining the rules of a bonus and they also awarded me the wager winnings. Play the victim card and plead your case to the board. Lots of whales on their to side with you.

Almost all sportsbook are fk ripped off, Draftking even took my money and never return back to my bank so I disputed it and later they threatened me if I don't pay them back and they will send it to collection and later garnished too. Wth I deposit the money in but later I decided not to play so by there ruled I've to play in order for withdraw, they send me kinda apologizing and misunderstood blah blah blah, fk that.

I put it in the community boards and it looks like someone replied to it but Bovada removed the reply. It literally says that "Bovada Removed @JURNEE_BOVADA" and then it looks like Bovada removed it from the community and made the topic "A personal message" so nobody else can see it.

Bally's SB did the same to me. All I can say is take the "squeaky wheel" approach, then LEAVE asap after you get paid.
In my experience DK, FD, MGM, Bet365 are the only ones who pay out after somewhat substantial wins. I'd never f with Bovada again, they still have almost 1k of my money under review from 6 yrs ago. Also, NEVER take the 125.00 new customer bonus bets with ANY book if you're planning to withdraw soon.
Good luck

This is why I stay away from joke sites like Bovada. Unless MLB changed the scoring, there should be no reason to void a bet. Especially if everything you’re saying is accurate. I am interested in seeing the ticket. Along with any communication you have. Not to prove if you’re telling the truth, but to check it out myself.

When you say pending what do you mean specifically?
Was it listed as an accepted bet and available to see in your open bet tab?
Or did it say it was pending approval?
I don’t want to stick up for a book but those are very different things. I have had that book for decade maybe longer, along with a half a dozen others and they have never been shady with me.
The only shady thing from them are their baseball lines if you know what I mean.
Also you complained about the bonus with rollover. It’s all in the fine print and pretty standard with offshore books. Either 1 don’t take it or 2 learn how to get around a rollover.
Sucks you didn’t get your winnings that you expected. I feel you there.

yea I've used them for ages before legalized in states when it was bodog before being shutdown. this lead to bovada strictly for the states. dude Calvin ayre was targeted big time. Personally I've never had an issue at all. i would play a ton of texas holdem from 2014-2018. Id play large multi table tourneys $30-$50 entry and cashed out numerous times anywhere from 1-3k. i was also living in FL at the time they'd just drop winnings directly into a checking account. i played 3 card poker/ blackjack table games winning/cashing a bunch also. once i moved back to nyc shit was cutoff. ny states and DC. i just used a local never went back as i was doing the crypto ish while being in a state they admittingly said was no go for them unless using crypto. regardless never had issues. hope all works out that's shitty. im still owed $1200 from Ultimate bet from black friday. only was i see the bread is moving to Canada and creating a residency there lol best of luck try to stay legalized sites or use a local. hope they fix the issue for you bol

Draftkings suspended me for a year cause I used “fn” in a chat conversation (who were intentionally slow to review an obvious input error (333 parlay when I never bet that amount, always play them for 33, and asked to cancel bet ….. it took them 2 hours to respond - after several of my games already started…. I think real reason was because week prior I requested my first payout for $6k…… asked about an appeal or escalation process & get the same canned reply (prob system generated…… I.e. books will do whatever they want - and only recourse at times may be just bad publicity - I.e. warning others - in bettor forums like these
