Wow all these people complaining about the wedged ball and the home plate out. Those were both the correct calls. It's easier to get over the hurt if u just face the reality of the truth rather than complain that things didn't go your way. U guys are the type of dudes begging your gfs to stay after she said it's over

If Jays or any other playoff team had a chance, or got Ohtani their payroll or any other team would be the relatively the same as the Dodgers…..try again !

No it wouldn't. And it shouldn't there is no salary cap. Fine no salary cap so some asshole syndicate group drives everything through the roof.
They have simply bought whatever All Stars they can from 2012 on and lost a bunch of times in the playoffs and World Series. They are not the only team. New York Mets under Cohen are doing it as well. Let's see for how long. But an ownership group who buys a large market team now is simply a corporation or financial firm that includes it in it's holdings. It's a part of their portfolio. It's why the Buss family had to sell to Walter. They were cash poor because many of the owners have billions to toss away on operations and salaries instead of looking at the team as part of their actual revenue stream. Buss only had it on paper so they had to cash out to a firm who doesn't mind paying $10 billion lol.
It's not complicated. Money is no object to them so they can lure whatever talent is available if they choose to blow through such amounts. In the end Miguel Rojas saved their asses what is he making? Point is it's a team sport. Guess Ohtani earned his money being a threat from the dugout. Rojas may be at your local Ralphs for autographs on a rickety folding table in the near future. I won't know I am in northern California. For all we know Ohtani will get embroiled in another financial affair with his agent or money manager. Enjoy your Hawaiian getaway Ohtani. Don't slip on your board Duke
