Got Angels on the 6th spot, but they got to much problems with injuries
and after the tragic loss of Adenhart (R.I.P) they'r missing a 5th
starter...
As for the Giants rotation im not to impressed: 1. Lincecum: was outstanding last year and looked like a candidate to be on the
best if not the best Major League pitcher of all time, but so far this year he's looked
shaky and is of too a bad start so i'v started to doubt that he can
follow up his great last season.. I bet on him in his season opener and
got lucky as he had a shacky outing where he had no pitch control, but faded him vs SD and it paid
off.. Until he showes some of his last years preformence his on my fade
list.. 2. Cain: IMO this is just a
middle of the pack pitcher who isn't bad, but not great either. But if
the Giants offense plays better than last year he might pick up 11-12
wins with some luck.. 3. Johnson: He's a future
Hall-of-Famer who is capable of putting up some good outings, but his
best days is behind him IMO. Think he'll end the season with an ERA in
the middle or high 4's and with 7-8 wins.. 4. Zito: He's on my fade list
this year too and have been struggling the last couple of years.. He
loves to pitch high in the zone and over the years he's lost some speed
on the fastball who is a recipe for disaster and he also struggles with
his commands. Think he gonna end the year belowe last years record with
an ERA from the middle 5's to the low 6's and with 7-8 wins 5. Sanchez: Struggles with his
stamina, to many walks and problems with keeping the ball in the
park... He might have a better year in 09 than in 08 if he stays
healty, but stil among the top pitchers. If Lincecum can find back to
last years preformence Sanchez should be the 2nd best Giants starter...
Think he'll end up with an ERA around middle or high 3 with 12-13
wins...

its hard to put SF in the top 5 purely based on where they pitch... this is a pitchers park. Send these guys to Texas and they are nobodies... well Lincecum would be good, but by no means would he get the accolades he does right now. Same can be said for SD but nobody is really putting up an arguement for them.
I know this is not the topic... but what do you guys think about a top 5 pitchers, dream team style... mine would be:
Roy Halladay
CC Sabathia
Cole Hamels
Josh Beckett
Felix Hernandez

I also see alot of you guys have the Braves in your 5 list but I dont hear any mention of Jorge Campillo.
He was virtually unknown last year and had himself a descent year. In 25 starts, Campillo was 8-7 with a 3.91 ERA and 107 K's in 158.2 IP. He also had an impressive 1.24 WHIP and pitched 10 quality starts. He is a control pitcher who throws strikes and has a nice changeup that gets hitters out.
I know he isnt currently in the Braves Starting rotation but If he gets another crack at starting , keep an eye out for him. He could win you some

Nice looking 5 there. You should put it in Ginder125's thread.

Nice looking 5 there. You should put it in Ginder125's thread.
Looking foward to more success for my list as that is a big part of how I choose my daily picks.
I will bump this thread so we can analyze these rotations throughout the year.
Another reason to continue to bump this thread is to show this Forum what a total Jackass that Jersey Fuckhead is. I read his little Tit for Tat with DoubleUp4Life in his thread and once again he shows his ignorance and naivity. He makes some pretty assanine comments and is very disrespectful to people who probably know alot more about Sports than he ever will.
He needs to be called out for his stupid ass comments whenever he posts them and I'll be right there to do it. If he's got the Balls to respond I say Bring It.
Respect for you Mr. DoubleUp4Life

lol... and the biggest dumbass of them all needs to get called out..
here you go stupid fuck..
I don't think any of the teams you mentioned are in the top 5.
I think anyone with some baseball knowledge would agree with me.
The fucking Tigers? The fucking Detroit Tigers? Are you that fucking stupid? Edwin Jackson as a #2 starter? He fucking sucks. Verlander hasn't pitched well in 2 years. The rest of the staff doesn't even deserved to be mentioned. Your an idiot for even bringing the Tigers up in this convo.
The Blue Jays have arguably the best pitcher in the game, but after that...
The fucking Pirates? Are you serious with this?
And the Giants pitching staff has already been discussed... read AJPierzynski's comment above... he described the Giants pitching staff perfect.
Now....... go back to your hole... and keep your fucking mouth shut.
Bump. I guess someone should have been doing there homework instead of beating off in the bathroom.
Calling me a dumbass? Maybe get your head out of your ass and pay attention Junior!!!

I'm a big Greinke fan myself but dont get your hopes up for him winning the CY YOUNG this year. He started off strong last year too and then began to stink it up in the second half of the season. As for the Yankees and Red Sox, its still early but I think they were so two years ago.

Good list there Greek. Angels Starters are victims of their shitty Bullpen though. Their Starting Rotation could lead the league in ERA and still not win many games.

AJ stop it with the Giants bashing. Sanchez could surprise people this year and I have Cain projecting some nice numbers for this season.
Sanchez and Cain can be dominating at times, and when they learn a little consistency they will put up some good numbers.
The season is still young and we still have alot of games to go, so I will keep bumping this thread (however my five does) and giving a little analysis on their performances.
On a side note, the Dodgers probably have the best young pitching in the MLB(sorry Florida fans) and I would probably move them into my list but I will stick with my original five and see how they fare the rest of the year.
