No clue about the game but the series is over. Rays blew the lead and their chance to take the series. Lost a tough game 1 and blew game 2. Reminds me a bit of Yank/LAD 2024 WS. I think the only play is Brewers

The best price I see on the reverse runline is Brewers -1.5 +175, but even that is negative EV. The price is just too stingy because the straddle on those reverse runline prices is 40 cents or more at most awful sportsbooks.

FYI, the Rays are 10-0 Freddy's last 10 starts and he's been outstanding. The Rays had B to B chances in the 9th inning this series, didn't work out, it doesn't always. But very competitive games. Breaks have been known to switch sides in a long series too. I am bias but I don't see the Rays losing tonight, the Trop has been very good to them this season. But GL to you.

Freddie is a Brewer and his coach knows him better than anyone. Going to be interesting! They had a chance to bring him back and declined. He wanted to come back! So yes pitching against the Brewers in the World Series tonite very interesting!

Yep, negative EV for sure...price should be closer to +190. Strictly a gut play, and too, maybe the price is so short for a reason.
Most books have become absolute robbers with their pricing. Corporate greed has affected the gambling business like it has everywhere else. Las Vegas is a travesty of what it used to be.

Yes, yes, and sadly, yes.

Fun fact. In the modern era of the WS (1969+) there have been 3 previous instances of a team winning the opening 2 games by 1-run margins. On all 3 occasions those teams lost game 3 (by 1, 1 & 2 run margins).

Just thinking about your comment about EV, and it occurred to me that EV in poker is not the same as EV in sports betting. EV in poker pretty much is what the odds say it is, whereas EV in sports betting can be manipulated by the price the bookies set. Entirely two different phenomena when you think about it.
In essence, books manipulate EV, as they may be doing this particular instance, to discourage bettors from playing it. Interesting.

Much respect for Cash and the Rays. They are strong at the Trop and could surely win. I just don't like the way this one matches up against them tonight with Peralta pitching. Could be wrong; that's part of gambling. Been wrong plenty of times before. Ha!

This should be an interesting game. Must win for Rays so how long does fastball Freddy go. Thinking Under 14.5 outs is a good bet for Peralta as they may need to pull him before he goes 5 innings. At + 115 it is more appealing than +100 on Brewers if you like them. Of course Rays can still get the W if the under Peralta loses
Does anyone know how the TV ratings are for this series. Maybe a sweep of the ratings suck. MLB needs big market teams and stars

Vegas has never been in the business of being generous, and with more people involved the average gamblers IQ has slightly increased due to the amount of info available (compared to before 2000ish).....
