Astros “closer” has an 81 ERA with a WHIP of 18.

And what makes it even worse is the last hit he gave up was a double with the bases loaded in a tie game. If the game wasn’t tied his ERA would at least be 108.00 maybe even 135.00

You’re right. I’m sure if they weren’t playing shallow that he could have gotten out of the inning without giving up another run.

he was throwing batting practice out there.. they should've have brought someone else in after he gave up the 1st run when it was 1st & 2nd 1 out 4-3.... I feel bad for anyone who had Mil yesterday & then Hou today

A little over a month into the season, Astros “closer” Brandon Lyon has a 7.15 ERA and has just as many blown saves as he does saves (4).

If you feel compelled to bet on the Astros this season, you might want to take them for the 1st half only.

yea i feel for ya, what is wrong with brad mills and their pitching coach?? dont they realize he doesnt have the stuff to be a closer?  a shame bc up until then they managed the game great...rodriguez and 4 other pitchers only allowed 1 hit and lyon cannot get a single out?? i mean geeze louise lol

I had the Stros today(my first baseball bet of the year, no lie lol)....I was just waiting for them to blow it.

Then I saw the update "BRANDON LYON NOW PITCHING", I said outloud "oh no, that's not good".

We all know the finale.

To bad Lyon didn't pitch the 8th inning

Lyon is back from the minors.

In his first two appearances back he has retired 3 batters and given up 5 earned runs.

Glad to see he has turned it around.
