I know what you mean. I was fully expecting the bet to remain live. The disappointing thing is that the Vegas sportbook's rules are not accessible online. I always look the rules over closely anytime I switch books and had noticed the reference to the Mirage rulebook a while back.
My guess would be since everyone other than Pinny appears to be refunding they felt it was proper to follow suit. With so many of us coming over from the Greek/ Bet Jam, they are trying to keep the masses appeased and playing at their shop.
My wager is still in play. Rules at my book: Regular Season Games that are suspended do not carry over to the following day. However, for MLB Post Season Games, Semi Finals and Final of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) that are suspended (not cancelled), bets will carry over until the game is ruled final.
Pretty stupid if you ask me since only 1.5 innings were played and we won't see Verlander or Sabathia tomorrow I'm guessing.
