I jumped on Detroit right before the line moved 6-cents (-104 to -110).
I agree, Washburn as a dog??
The only thing I could really find [significant] about Shields is his ERA is 3.20 in the day vs 4.27 at night.

to be honest when i first looked at this game i thought i would be better staying away. but after looking a little deeper i think im going to go with the tigers and the under, but im going to have to buy it to 8.5 for a little insurance. thanks for the stats Dr

note the last 2 starts by Rayz' starters, we'll call it "the Kazmir effect", Price and Niemann were great, expect the same from Shields, unfortunately that didn't seem to help Balfour and their BP, while their overall #'s are good, has made some untimely miscues, it's like Troy Percival all over again...  Crawford may rest today, still thinking about hitting TAMPA, No R/L play on this game, just pick your winner

1) I believe they have a better record in final games of series over the last couple of months
2)Tampa Bay might be a little let down by recent news, they are on a get away day out of town, etc
3)Detroit's home record vs Tampa Bays road record
4)Washburn knows how to pitch this team
