Can't say I share the Tiger love. Scherzer has terrible career numbers vs. the Sox and the lineup he faced last time against Boston is a lot different than the lineup he'll face tonight. Buchholz pitching very well lately...def a pass for me. I'm a Red Sox fan so take that with a chunk o' salt
I'm a Sox fan as well and the team is too mercurial. I'll pass because it's hard to know what will happen.

Hope you got a good night's rest si1ly! We are all hoping you find another diamond in the rough today. If not, there's always the rest of the week! Glad to see that you don't force a pick!!

I like it. I watched De Vries against the Orioles and kept wondering how he wasn't getting pounded with the soft stuff he throws.
Neither pitcher has the unfamiliarity factor anymore. Both offenses are very good (MIN #3 vs L ; CHW #12 vs R). They are both hot too (MIN #4 ; CHW #1 total offense last 7 days). Both bullpens have been awful in July (ranked in the bottom 5 for advanced sabrmetrics. Quintana has an ERA of 4.2 and night but an amazing 0.5 during the day (talk about night and day, huh?!). He's also declined steadily each month. DeVries ranks #187 against righties and the White Sox will have 7 or 8 righties in the line-up. Even though my model only has this one at 9 and is showing no value, my model is biased towards the under and I feel there are enough factors in play tonight to send this way over.

Waiting on the line-ups in Milwaukee. Both starters have 'elite' numbers against righties and both offenses are known to be stacked with right-handed hitters. I'm expecting at least 6 - maybe 7 pure righties in both line-ups tonight. Could make for a low scoring start to the game. First 5 under looks appealing. Especially since everyone and their mother seems to be on the over - yet the line isn't budging. Could have easily set this one at 9 runs and gotten similar action.. after all, the starters ERA's add up to 10 and we all know the bullpens are atrocious. Quick line analysis and it seems under is the sharp side in this game.

I've already locked in Milwaukee under this morning. I liked what your sheets revealed about the success these pitchers have vs. RH batters and Houston lacks the punch to take advantage of a weak Brewer bullpen.

Hi si1ly I was wondering if you saw my post on the Cubs yesterday when you asked if anyone can give any type of reason not to bet them
you did not respond to it - i posted it kind of late. I was wondering if that was not enough to keep you off st louis, obviously it wasnt but it was a hell of a stat and I was wondering if you gave it any credence
thanks
