Late April/early May: 

I've reached the same point in every season where I feel I have enough for a solid base of stats to work with so I feel comfortable dipping my toe back into the water...soon...

I enjoyed a very good season last year but there is no guarantee, nor even high probability, that this season will bring similar success. Hopefully!...but we never know...

All my "bet results" will be recorded as one-unit-per-play regardless how much money I actually bet - which is frequently larger than a single unit but totally meaningless to assessing "picking" skill. 

Bets in which I feel have even greater value are designated *BB (Best Bets) but are NO GUARANTEE an_nailbiter
