         (this range had 1 winner by one run, so a big loss on RL)

72 - 30 HEAVY FAVS in -200 to -299 range = BIG FAT LOSER!
           (this range had 13 wins by one run, so RL = 59 - 43)  <--- small profit

81 - 47 HEAVY FAVS in -170 to -199 range = BIG FAT LOSER!!
           (this range had 17 wins by one run, so RL = 64 - 64)

Sunday:

There do not appear to be any HEAVY HOME FAVS, unless some lines get pushed up.

So, two lines on HOME FAVS did get pushed up to over -170 at closing:

Padres closed at -174   AND LOST!

Dodgers closed at -178   AND LOST!

So far in July, HEAVY HOME FAVS are in regression!

This rarely happens but should be mentioned:

in compiling my stats on starting pitcher HOT STREAKS...

if a starter is currently riding a streak of any length gets injured

and misses 2+ starts in the rotation, his streak is reset to zero.

NYY, CARLOS RODON, started the season poorly...

...but after 14 completed starts, my stats show he had only 4 "BAD" outings!

Since then he has slumped with 4 consecutive BAD outings!

I too am inclined to think that RODON's "BAD" outings streak is likely due to end, although a mediocre outing or even a GOOD outing does not in itself produce runs to back him up for a Yankees win.......but a GOOD outing would surely help!

Phillies, ZACH WHEELER, has started 18 games,
with an EXCELLENT 2.74 ERA and just 0.99 WHIP stat!!

In 18 starts only 3 bonafide BAD outings!!! (ie, outings = 15 - 3)

14 times he allowed no more than 2 earned runs!!

Phillies have the BEST record in baseball!
Excellent offense: batting 4th best v. Lefties and 6th best v. Righties

And yet,

the Phillies have LOST 8 of his 18 starts...

Despite my expressed concern of Phillies failures to back up WHEELER, and my very real concern about regression especially if I dare post anything, I will trust an instinct here on this one game.  Change of venue for both teams can very often mean a reversal of fortunes. And Phillies get their SLUGGER (Harper) back in the order...
