This bet hinges entirely on one player not having a bad day...Cease....which is always possible, for ANY pitcher.....If he does, this bet is phucked.

Very small edge to Phillies. If the PLUS $$$ odds wer closer to +120 I would take this as a "value bet"

Top of the 1st and sure enough, CEASE is struggling to hit the strike zone, while allowing 4 on and one run scored.

Good pitching is a WHIP of around 1 baserunner per inning.  Mediocre is around 1.3 or 1.4 per inning

 OK, this may work, as I have this game as a coin-flipper but maybe a tiny edge to Cleveland.

I show the WhiteSox with a fair edge on the mound, a small edge at the plate (WITT Is back for KC!), and a fair edge in the pens....added up it should be a net edge of +1.0 to +1.4 runs for the homies.....I hope.

Clearly CEASE was struggling to hit the strike zone consistently, but this will go down as a "mediocre" outing despite the high WHIP, due to fanning 10 to offset the baserunners....Certainly not a GOOD outing by any stretch....  My bet is now trailing 0 - 2 and threatening worse....

Bases loaded for Texas.....of course!

After a very frustrated CEASE was yanked, Fluharty comes in, loads the bases and allows a 2 run sinlge

Still 2 runners on . . . 

Correction....I forgot to account for the 2 baserunners CEASE left on when he was yanked, and they scored.

Cease start allowed 9 on in only 4.2 ip with 4 ER is a BAD outing....

And that's what I feared.  When a bet rides entirely on ONE man. 

And those 2 runners scored off a 2 out double to make it 6 - 0
