HOTTEST team in the league right now is from Canada.

8 - 2  last 10 including 6 consecutive wins!

I have them for a small edge over the Angels today but not enough edge to justify laying heavy odds.

PASS

I have MARINERS estimated for a full one run edge today.

However, in my stats, with that 1-run edge, the break even point for wins and losses (on juice) is laying odds no worse than -169..... but preferably -149 or less for a fair profit over time.

That is not the case today so I PASS

Cubs pitching today gives pause......so this is another PASS.

I have the DBACKS with an expected edge today, but it's THIN!

I can't justify laying more than -120 .... Either I get that or I PASS

Normally with an estimated edge of +1.1 runs, I would consider the GIANTS today for a bounceback, especially with a very good SP backed by arguably the best BP in the league.  Could be why they are laying heavy odds.

BUT therein lies the problem.......

WEBB is on an 11 game streak without a "bad outing"....YET!! 

He's overdue...  

With every start he gets closer and closer to the inevitable BAD OUTING.

Could be today;  could be next game....but I see no NEED to tempt fate.

I lose nothing by PASSING here...  

Maybe.   But today is iffy because they may have to rely on AAA callup to give them a few good innings, facing a potent RAYS offense....

Phillies are laying heavy odds with ace SUAREZ on the mound.

 BUT.... he's riding a 10 game streak without a BAD outing ...yet! 

And if he struggles, remember he's backed up arguably by the WORST bullpen in the majors, and the roof could fall in - particularly facing a decent team with a decent starter.

Even if SUAREZ doesn't struggle,  I have the phillies only with a small edge over the REDS - definitely not worthy of laying heavy.

In fact, the consideration here for a plus money value bet may rest on Cinci given that they are quite capable, after scoring 9 against a lefty Philly starter yesterday.....REDS don't typically bat well vs lefties....They do however bat quite well against righties....SUAREZ is a righty....

Astros are only  21 - 21 on the road

HOT temps in Chicago today and it appears a decent blow to straightaway center...

 Ball should carry well, don't you think?  Particularly for teams with a STRONG OPS, like the CUBS.

Cards are only average....
