Can't be winning a fight if it's round 2-3/5. Easy money champ of the UFC is back.

even the analysts are saying the DC was winning that fight. However, he definitely did not finish it.

    Full Card: -6.15 Units

Nothing much to say about the main event.  Congrats to those that bet Jones.  Sorry if anyone tailed me on the wager.

I thought Cormier won the 1st 2 rounds, he was losing the 3rd and then Jones caught him with the brutal kick.  Feel absolutely gutted for DC.  He looked great, but that's fighting.  Shitt happens.  1st losing card in a while.  I'll be back in the black next card.

All the "I told you so" losers come out after the fight to talk shitt.  Congrats, guys.  You won with a -300 favorite, a fighter that lost the 1st 2 rounds got a KO.  That's what happened.

The only guy that can come in and talk shitt is J-MoneyMaker because we actually debated like normal human beings.

Now all the clowns never watching UFC before and thinking they know all about fighting because they won their $50 bet on a -300 favorite talk shitt.  This site is pure comedy sometimes.

DC was winning that fight and 1 strike was the difference.  It happens. No big.

Appreciate it.  Can't win every card.  After that 2nd round, I would've been very nervous if I had bet Jones, but a win is a win.  I don't know if they will get the chance to, but I'd still love to see a 3rd fight.  Afraid DC will retire though.

Jones was either 1-1 (most likely) or 2-1
Jones won a close 1st, cormier may have won a closer 2nd

third was jones and then he murdered daniel.

oh and the line was Jones -250 and how do you know how that everyone bet $50??

i didnt bet a lot (way more than 50 thou) but a lot of friends bet a lot (not even gonna say because we all know covers amounts mean shi t)

I appreciate being the one that is allowed to come back and talk crap but I definitely won't be gloating here. I never actively root for someone to lose a bet on here. We should all be in this together and be trying to help each other win money and beat the books. It's crazy how toxic this forum and other betting sites can be with all of the hate and competitive "d*ck measuring" contests.

Regardless, I am happy in this instance as I stated this was the biggest wager of my life (my previous biggest was their 1st fight). Definitely was another close fight to start but I would like to point out that your comments about DC being up 2-0 going into the 3rd are a bit exaggerated and also false. You and that other poster are kind of acting like Jones was losing the fight and then got lucky with a flukey KO. I fully disagree with that. Jones won the 1st round clearly (although DC came on in the final minute) and I felt the 2nd round was super close, with DC potentially edging it. AT WORST, I think it was 1-1 heading to the 3rd. In fact, two judges had it 1-1 and the third judge had it 2-0 Jones, so you guys are way off in terms of how that fight was going up to that point.

One of the main reasons I said I liked Jones again in this matchup was his ability to have several different ways he could win this fight. He's the more versatile, creative striker, who also has a nasty submission game. Cormier wasn't submitting Jones. Cormier likely wasn't knocking Jones out either unless he hit a hail mary punch. Cormier was also going to struggle to win 3 of 5 rounds, especially if he needed to win rounds 4 and/or 5 because his cardio would likely be sapped. Not to mention Jones nullifies DC's wrestling, which is one of his best assets. That makes DC so incredibly one dimensional and Jones has the youth/athleticism/skill as well as his reach to help combat that one dimension.

Like I was saying, I just think Jones is the worst type of matchup for DC. Sadly, Jones really is one of the only people that has the tools to beat DC and he's now done it twice. Also was the first person to finish DC, which I also mentioned in an earlier post that I thought was possible. DC looked just as emotional in this fight to me as he did the first time around. Heck, he was even taunting Jones at one point and trying to do stuff to get in his head. I don't know, I just didn't really see the angles you were providing heading into this fight and it played out in a fashion I thought was very likely. I really thought we were going to hear DC say he was retiring there when Rogan stupidly hopped in there to interview him as he was bawling. Maybe we will hear something more about that soon....

I guess after typing everything I just typed, perhaps it did appear as if I'm saying "I told you so," but at least I tried to do it in a civil way lol. I thought the back and forth leading up to the fight was fun and it's good to hear peoples' perspectives on the other side of a wager. Especially when it's a fight of this magnitude and one of us has a max bet on it lol. DC fought another great fight and seemed like he was putting his best effort out there, but once again in the end, it just wasn't good enough to beat Jones. Looks like you had a bit of a tough night but I know you'll bounce back with the next event, plus you'd been doing well coming into this one. Look forward to seeing/hearing your thoughts on certain fights in the future. Best of luck going forward

Yea, that's kind of the reaction I had when I read a few posts saying Cormier was up 2-0 and then got KO'd. WRONG. I'll admit, the first two rounds were close, but to easily say that Cormier was the one up 2-0 seems and do so with some confidence seems a bit farfetched. Jones won 4 of the 5 minutes in Round 1 and Cormier had a bit of a flurry late. Thought was a pretty clear round for Jones. Round 2 was much closer and I felt a case could be made for either guy, but I personally gave the round to Cormier (even though I hoped I was wrong). 5 Dimes had Jones -165 after Round 2 and I felt that sounded about right if it was 1-1. I unloaded on that line though because I didn't see anything DC was doing that led me to believe he was going to win 2 of the next 3 rounds decisively. Felt Jones was winning the 3rd leading up to the KO as well, so I'm not sure where some of those comments are coming from.

Feels like it's taking away from a solid performance from Jones. A guy who many people thought was going to show up as a shell of himself and wouldn't be able to overcome all of the cage rust and emotions leading up to this fight. I thought it was a great performance by both guys and they both left it all out there. But the better man won, just like he did the first time they fought. And the same way he would if they fought again. Jones is just simply better than DC. Plain and simple. He's better than everyone lol

Scal, did you read my post right after his? Two judges had it 1-1, while the other had it 2-0 Jones going into the 3rd. Live betting on 5Dimes supported a similar scoreline as well. Do you really feel Cormier was up 2 rounds and then just got caught by a flukey KO? For real??

papa: dont' sweat the haters.  cormier was a great play just for the value at his price.. .he was really controlling that fight and looked to be getting stronger as the fight went on.

pfff you clearly dont know a thing about mma scal, really love your write ups on everything else thou...

cormier was going forward, thats very different than controlling the fight, daniel never got to his rythm because JBJ was using those front kicks as usual and was being very disruptive... also in mma kicks count as strikes and if you ever trained you know they cause damage and also it was the whole point to throw the low kicks and then OH HOW LUCKY right?? the only high kick ends the fight... wonder why that happened!!

like i said 1-1 at worst probably 2-0 jony and he was up on the third... and like Jmoney maker said, refs had it the same.

and actually, cormier was pressing too much, that was a bad spot for him as he ended up chasing bones a lot and getting out punched/kicked in the process
