Carwin simply gassed. He beat the shit out of Lesner, turning his face into a bloody, swollen mess and Lesner KNOWS that he was lucky to win. They will have a rematch and Carwin will beat his ass good again whether lesner has the belt or not because Cain is the real deal too.
I'm fuming....Carwin was clearly the better fighter...
Ridiculous statement by someone that clearly has no martial arts/fighting training.
Endurance and stamina are part of being a "fighter". Carwin is the more skilled puncher and striker, but being a "fighter" includes the ability to take punches and maintain endurance over the course of a match. Carwins one-dimensional plan/ploy was to knock out Lesnar in the first few minutes, and lesnar was strong enough to withstand this. Carwin clearly did not have a plan for conserving energy beyond the first round. Thus, Lesnar is/was the better "fighter".
Plenty of guys have talent. Very few have the athletic stamina to actually last the duration of the fight if they can't knock out the guy right away. Mike Tyson was the same way. If he didn't knock out the guy in the first few rounds, he lost the fight.

Hilarious statement who it's obvious has no training in anything other then sitting at his computer typing nonsense.
Obviously you're a non-athlete, and pretty much a non-anything.
If you watched the fight, you would have seen one fighter totally dominating the other, (carwin dominating fat-head) who got lucky to be saved by the bell in the 1st rd, the rd. being pretty much a 10-8 rd in boxing terms, and then inexplicably turning soft in the 2nd letting himself be taken to the ground and eventually choked out...btw, you don't know anything about boxing
either because tyson lost his first fight aganist douglass in the 10th but had quite a few fights to past the 10th only to win so again you're wrong. Tyson put people away early because HE COULD
His record was 50 Wins, 6 Losses, 2 No Contest, w/ 44 Knockouts so he didn't lose too often...once again, your foolish statements only expose your foolishness.

Whatever, i don't really give a shit.
...BUT Did you even read what i said? I gave Carwin full respect by saying he was the better "puncher and striker"
The point is, the first round was exactly 5 minutes and lesnar withstood the beating, yes he was "saved by the bell".
In his post-fight interview (from sherdog . com), lesnar said:
"“I just had to weather the storm,” he said. “He’s got some heavy shots. I just had to hang back. I knew he was getting tired. Each shot was less dramatic than the other, and I thought, ‘I’ll just let him go.’”
Certainly carwin landed some heavy shots, and against anyone else in the world, he would have won in the 1 st round. Lesnar withstood the best that carwin had to throw at him within the alloted time.
Endurance and a "strong jaw" are part of being a good fighter.
ENDURANCE IS A HUGE PART OF BEING A GREAT ATHLETE AND COMPETITOR. If you expend all of your energy in the first five minutes and then lose because you are fatigued in the second round, you are NOT the better fighter.
If a basketball team plays their asses off in the first quarter by full court pressing, fast-breaking and building a 20 point lead, but then they lose the game because get tired, they are NOT the better team....lol...
In hindsight, Carwin needed to pace himself better, but if he paced himself, he wouldn't have dominated the 1st round like he did.

We will save the Tyson discussion for another day. You probably have watched more boxing than me, but I did hear a great analysis by Jim Lampley breaking down every SIGNIFICANT Tyson fight and how poorly he performed if Tyson did not get a knock out in the first 4 rounds.

Dude you are a complete moron. Carwin didn't beat Lesnars face to a bloddy mess, get real Lesnar had small cuts on his face which at the end of round 1 his corner stopped the bleeding. A real champion comes back from adversity and that is what Lesnar did. Wether you like the man or not he recovered from a bad first round and took it to Carwin who gassed out and didn't have the power to break the chock hold of the stronger fighter.

I had a pretty decent sized bet on Lesnar and I wouldn’t have been shocked or even pissed off if the fight was stopped.
I sure am glad it wasn’t though. ![]()

Read all the posts before you input. You'd see I didn't think Carwin was the much more skilled fighter, another person kept saying it. Read all the posts before skipping to the end then guessing. It helps.

I would say this is what, 30 posts now about you whining and crying how your hero lost.
Please watch the fight again. Lesnar WAS NOT SAVED BY THE BELL. Lesnar was back on his feet with MORE THAN 1 minute left in the round. Carwin dominated Lesnar from the 3:45 left in the 1st, until 2:42 left, from that time until the time Lesnar got back to his feet, Carwin through only one more flurry where almost all the punches were blocked. As I've stated, Carwin dominated Lesnar with some bombs for a minute and had control for 2 minutes. Watch the fight again instead of making yourself look more foolish than you are. Just for the record, it was an elbow that opened a cut on his brow, not a punch. Lesnar was not a bloody, swollen mess like you keep trying to convince people. If you watch the post fight interview then the interview with reporters, you would see this. By the way, glad you lost because your crying is getting old.

Just for the record, Mike Tyson did have an issue if he threw a bunch of bombs and you didn't fall down. He lost confidence. After his loss to Douglas, he was not the same fighter. If he didn't get you in a short amount of time, he was done. He would get picked apart because people weren't afraid any more. That was his main advantage, people were afraid. Then when Holyfield, Lennox amongst other knew this, he wasn't the same. He got KO'd 5 times and DQ'd once. His only wins after Douglas were against bums.
In 19 fights after the Douglas fight, Tyson was 12 wins 5 losses and 2 NC's. In my opinion, I just feel people weren't aftaid because Tyson just couldn't win any big fights after the Douglas fight.
