I loved Pete Rose as a player, but he seemed shallow in that video. He would not look you in the eye, and seemed to want you out ASAP, so he could rip-off another person for his autograph.

I am going to use the 2nd buffet voucher today at The Excalibur. I've eaten at this buffet several times over the past few years & its not bad but, nothing special. I'm not going to post a walk-through of the Excalibur Buffet, maybe just a plate or two.
The buffet I am really looking forward to, is the third one. The Aria!

I'm sure some of you are eager to hear some big poker hands where Jayvegas420 take a down a huge pot but, is prefer to tell you about a bad beat from Sunday.
I'm dealt A-3d in early position & its raised 2 bets preflop & I call. The flop comes Kd-2s-6d & there are 5 callers. Myself & 2 other players call a mid-sized bet & the turn is 6h.  I am aware that this might spell trouble for me bit the bettor bets the max & the other two runners fold & I call.  The dealer drops a 4f on the river & he comes out betting the max.  Realistically, the way the hands been played I am only afraid of 2 hands.  If he has group, I'm dead in the water & I'm thinking there's a slight chance he has K6.  Anyway....I call & he rolls over 64.

All in all it hasn't been the most productive trip but, it hasn't been bad either.  I am sitting at about $1,100 but I have has to pay Two weeks rent & we can't forget that I gave my new buddy, Pete Rose over $100.  i also lost quite a bit on Milos

Jay, if not playing the Aria you should consider the Rio deep stack at 3pm daily. 235 entry with insanely large fields and top prize money. I'll be there today.

Jay, been having trouble accessing this board from a mobile phone for the last couple hours.

It is actually at the rio. About 600 runners for this tourney. Registration is open till 5pm. Let me know if you are coming

I heard that Aria event today was a disaster. 500 alternates for the event, meaning some people will wait over 8 hours to enter. That is just insane.

Bling, I don't know where you disappeared to but, I have to thank you for getting me down here.  I felt I played well & busted out with 54 players left. I guess I didn't at well enough but still had a good time.

I never4 saw you.  I gave you my table and seat number.  I ended up going out after an hour or so, then headed to the Bellagio to play poker until I had to leave at 5am for my flight back home.  Did you end up cashing at 54?

i thought he went broke when he said this in post #127 before he even took the trip:

it's still possible that Jayvegas420 won a lot of money on this trip but the mentality thinking that you're going to go in there and take down the house is a sickness.  the only way to overcome this disease is to keep losing, and lose hard.  Luckily for Jayvegas420, he's got a get out of jail free card, a wife, a family and then some.  

It's too rare that you can go on in life not needing to work, let alone being able to support your family so that they don't have to work because you had a big score in a poker tournament, etc.  You need a regular source of income, even if it's only a little certain amount of money every month from a part time job that pays minimum wage.  If with what little money you are able to get from your part time job or what have you is too small, it's your job as a human being to use your intelligence to get better.  If you only have $50 of disposable income every week after bills and eating, etc, that's too bad, learn how to make it better with society.

i don't see anything wrong with going into las vegas with $2700 on a plan of staying there for 3 weeks and then coming out positive as little as $1000.  And if you came out a minus $2700, that's ok too because you always had your family in the first place.

Lost again in another deepstacks tourney but won in the free roll My last day there.

Don't know.  I'm sure the horrible reception in the Rio convention center played a role.
