I see CFC and others are up because of the so-called improvement in the commercial credit situation. Is it a farce? It could be, but the stock is up almost 10% today because of it..

CFC got that funding, but to me that isnt why it is running..its the alleged loosening of the commercial paper, and the short squeeze, but almost 15% move today is amazing.
Any move past 20 has to be short consideration.
The 20 calls are a 3 plus bagger today and I think she DOES move past 20 before expiration..even if it is short lived.

long term option contracts that i need move in next 120 days, all have a strike price below current price, just trying to get a feel for a good time to pull the trigger. none of the options expire within this time period, but unrelated factors will cause me to exercise them and sell.

Are those ESOP options, meaning are you an employee and these are option grants, or did you buy the options through a broker?
I gather you are an employee...thats my guess.
Depending on the number of shares you were granted, it might not even matter to wait or not to wait. What I mean by that is say your grant price is 17 bucks and current price is 21 (or so) then you profit by 4 bucks per share...depending on if you have 200 shares granted or 20,000 shares it will effect my comment...

Do you have enough cash to purchase the shares? Meaning as an employee you CAN buy those shares at 17, or whatever the strike is, so if you wanted to hold you could.
I doubt that is the case though.
Want my honest opinion? Can you take the tax hit?
The chart looks bad, I dont like how it is acting and it will never keep pace with the market or even better performing stocks.
If it were me I would dump it on an up day, or leg out of 25% and see if it keeps going up.
I would take the money out of an under performing stock like that and put it in a Scottrade acct and see what you can do with it.
If you need some ideas with the money, let me know..there are some good people here always willing to help.
Unless you needed the money for a strange reason, I would try and take the funds and keep them invested..
Also, the broker who is doing the ESOP will offer to take the money and open an acct with them..unless they are a DISCOUNT firm, like Scottrade or Etrade or Fidelity etc, do NOT go with the broker..they will try and plop you into a loaded mutual fund and make money off you..take the cash, let them take out the taxes (usually they offer that) and then open an account, if the proceeds are high, open a few Roth accts for you, wife (if you have one) and keep the majority of the money out of the checking acct where you might get tempted...

Thats a dicey short position..if the commercial paper market is easing it takes a ton of pressure off these lenders and financial institutions. I am not sure I believe it, but not sure how to verify either.
Keep a good leash on them, dont let a good thing turn into a bad one.
