My advice is to short the SP 500 on manipulated runups. If you want to be long, then be long gold bullion or physical barrels of crude. "Trading", as in buy and sell in a few minutes/hours/days/weeks, has nothing to do with the long run.

Yeah, Honli, precious metals should go up as the world will have to inevitably confess that there is not enough economic production to handle the infinite amount of debt out there.
But, man, these ETFs are set up for one thing----to fcku over the little retail guy, so my take it to buy the physical metal itself.
There is not one single person who can give a valid model as to how these ETFs are priced. In other words, a market maker's dream to a--fcku the little guy. Then again, what else is new in this sicko world?

Taking shares of Anadarko Petroleum (APC) right here just south of 59 for a trade. Will put a stop in at 53 and look to close around 68 in a few weeks or so, if not sooner.
Stopped out at 53 on Friday.
Will look to put this trade back on with maybe RIG or BP, cause once they stop the oil leak, there'll be a short covering explosion, and "waiting to see what happens" won't cut it. Cause by the time you get the news, the money will have already been made.
Yeah, Tilto, all the Obama threatening rhetoric coming out is making everyone dump shares of offshore drillers like APC.
It's all smoke and mirrors right now, cause our freaking national security will one day hinge on our country's own ability to get its own oil, so offshore drilling will eventually come back, but when? That's the 87 trillion dollar queastion, and as long as sellers are dumping shares, no use arguing with the market. The market can stay irrational far longer than anyone can stay solvent.
There is no question about it that a ton of value is being created out there in the drillers like APC, RIG, CHK, DO, etc...
