There was a bad spill @ the SPA today. Javier Castellano went to the hospital. 

Paco's filly #9 I Love Giraffes stumbled a little after the far turn & that had Paco flying off.  That brought down #8 Lovely Grey which was David Portnoy's girl. That threw Dylan Davis. Lovely Grey was vanned off. Tyler was also thrown off #6 Smexy. All four of the fillies returned to their barns which is good news for now.

Paco has been suspended 4 days for causing the spill. He's appealed the ruling.

According to the race’s Equibase chart, Lopez’s mount I Love Giraffes “bumped with the hindquarters of PILLAR OF BEAUTY then clipped heels with her left foreleg outside the quarter-pole and fell.”

Javier Castellano will be out most of July with a lower back injury caused by the spill.
