The Derby is simple
 
$1.00 Tri     9,10,20 with 9/10/20/3/4 with 9/10/20/3/4 =  $36.00
 
Don't be fooled or mislead, BIG BROWN could win this race with a Piano tied to his saddle.  If were lucky for betting purposes and winning some cash, Pyro or Colonel  get the win, there the only two who have a shot and a slim shot at that.If we can get Anak to show that would round out our tri nicely, he does like this track.  Simple, easy money.

I mainly just wager on sports, but, I always like to throw something down on The Derby though...

I know enough to know what an exacta box is and how to play it, etc., etc., etc......

I have a question though (because I think I will play these exacta boxes). If I play them and one or more horses get scratched DO I GET A REFUND of that portion of my wager?

track seems really muddy today.  How do you sharps see this affecting the race?  Will all that mud slinging around affect the closers while trying to catch up?  Will this slow down the likes of Big Brown and the other horses that are quick out of the gate?

to answer your question wendy... the turf is impossible to close on and if you are not within 1-2 lengths of lead you pretty much dont have a chance.. of course a mile and a quarter is farther but nobody is gaining ground.. we will see if things change in next race

wendy most people will not adapt to the conditions..lot of rookies out there... this is very reminiscent of the year smarty jones won the derby... sat off the pace of lion heart( i think i got the right derby) and then pounced on him to win, lionheart hung on for second

L8kers, any scratch in an exacta wager, you get the portion of the wager back.  If you bet a 4 horse $2 exacta, this costs $24, if one horse scratches you get back $12 of your $24.

 

The track at Churchill Downs at this moment is fast with a beautiful blue sky & puffy clouds.

Congrats to Big Brown & Trainer Richard Dutrow, he boasted, bragged & WON, nothing else to say.  I still disagree with owners & trainers to sacrifice their fillies against the boys, it ruins them, sad to see Eight Belles get euthanised, sad.
