Conveyance was the first of the pair to breeze, zipping five furlongs in 59.59 seconds and galloping out six panels in 1:12.75 under exercise rider Dana Barnes.
Seems like a miler, but Baffert's other one has a shot.
I just watched Backtalk's Illinois Derby and checked out his pedigree. He has impressive bloodlines and a family tree that is full of superstars. How can anybody disregard Smarty Jones' baby? We all know how close he came to a Triple. Looking a littler further down the line and you see Affirmed, the last Triple winner. There is no doubt this guy has class, but that being said he was pushed on at the half pole and didnt respond. At the quarter pole is where you see him make his run.....then the top two in the race just pull away like he wasnt even there. As long as Miguel Mena is on his back I dont give him a chance. The fractions will be much hotter in the derby (Paddy O Prado just breezed 5f at 58 and 4/5 in the slop), He'll have much classier horses chasing a hot pace (Super Saver, Dublin, Lucky) and if he does some how pull up to the front top stretch I dont think he has the closing kick to fend off a few of the closers in this one (i.e Icebox). Good exotic fill at best IMO
Good Luck

WORD OF CAUTION!
Let's remember this is only one race on Saturdays card @ CD. Don't get carried away with 6 horse boxes and such. 3 yr. olds are a pretty inconsistant bunch and were just 2 yr olds a short 5 months ago. No need to step out here and destroy the bankroll!
I suggest you treat the Derby as any other race for wagering purposes unless you're one of the 3 week a year bettors.
