Harness Racing Ontario - Mohawk specialty + other B tracks occasionally

Looking forward to Monday's card already at Mohawk.....

I specialize in Pick5 and Pick4s....will mix in the occasionally Pick3 or Exactor bets or super/tri/Hi-5

PHILOSOPHY:

- look for right driver/trainer/form combo 

- horses dropping down hit at a high % especially with right mix mentioned in first point

- need to sometimes take a B- driver and wheel him around as a key if he is appearing in every race on an exotic play like Pick4/5

- front end speed in cool weather

- closing last quarter in warm

- certain drivers excel in certain seasons

Race #1 - McClure-Ian Moore #6  KEY.....consider adding #2 as 2nd pick with Sylvain but trainer not as good

Race #2 - #1 should be a KEY with JMAC /Millar Farms - Galluci ....but think you can add for fun JR Plante who is great on this track #6 and would make this pay well, #5 is Cullen and has a good horse so you never know when he is live .....and #3 

Race #3 - 123 567 ....most competitive race....#2 could romp but has not won 2 races on good chances and drivers

Race #4 - 245 

Race #5 - #1 Doug McNair...horse has never ever had a driver ...just trainer!, #4 J-Mac , #5 Cullen.....leaving out the favourite by J.R. Plante?  #2??? 2-1 in book and looks horrible in form

Sorry I was late.. #6 on the lead but the #5 pushed the horse....#2 is 4th but coming at 3/4

#5 won....I think it locked wheels with #6 

I tailed and havent been able to watch a  race yer 

#1 won the 2nd race...so we are alive

#7 won the 3rd race at 18-1 !!!! ...knew it this race would be the barn race

We have 3 horses with 3 horses in the next leg....this is paying decent now

We will have to back up the #5 and #8 in 5th race.....do a HI5 of the following

20 - 40 cent > 158/ 124 / 12458 / 12458 / ALL = ONLY IF THE PAYOUT IS $300 or more ....I think McNair is gonna take that race ! 20 cents = $28.80 for that HI5

#2 on the lead with a good price ....to start Race #4

SHIT!....#6 at 30 - 1 Bruce Richardson nips our #5 at the wire ....man....this is a big one!

I am betting #1 in the next race SU if I get better than 2-1

Pick 3 just paid out $989

McNair opens at 3-1 ....JMAC on #4 is 9-2 ....Cullen on #5 is 5-1....don't care for the #2 JRPLANTE unless the horse looks like a monster on the track

Might do a HI5 here leaving #8 out of 1st and replacing the #4 JMAC instead ....see ticket post above....replace #4 with #8 everywhere

#8 is fave right now but to be the better drivers, this horse has to be amazing from out there! 

Looking at the next PICK4 ....if meh....will do the last one at post....the last one starts race #10

#5 looked best.....#1 looked pretty good too.....#8 MEH!

I didnt play it.....McNair won on #1 at 4-5 and this PICK5 is monster I bet 

PICK5 paid $3747 for a 20 cent play I think....it didnt say

HI5 paid $17 900 for a $1 ticket in a 7 horse race....thats incredible!!

He raced 4 days ago on the rail and looks like it was blocked and should have won ....I like horses who race within 3-5 days....they are tight and hungry to race again...lots of winners happen this way

#5 looks amazing on the track for jmac /Moreau in Race 11.....they are betting the #2 as well

Gonna be tight....#2 and #5 maybe a dead heat....or #2 got it.....#5 lunged at wire so I dont know

Thoughts:

Race 1 

-1st time on track and apparently deathgrip underwraps in 2nd qualifier for the #3 with Roy-Galluci (Millar Farms good stock)

- #8 > fit and ready to roll on an excellent driver change to Henry

-#1 > really good back half times last 2 races and Dustin Jones knows how to improve young horses...his son is a decent driver!

Maybe:  #2 McNair horse but his back half times are poor so would have to steal the race and I doubt that will happen with Luc Roy driving a Millar Farms horse which they want their drivers active and going for the lead!

Surprise: #4 JR Plante driving today....look at that back half coming parked and then snapped!....finish in 56 '2 wow

Race #2

KEY KEY KEY > Combs Hanover #4.... back half in 54'4 /55'     P. Mcac as a driver knows how to press this horses buttons and as a trainer is showing everyone that he knows how to get a horse who is ready to perform...to shine. Was sitting on the horse last week as it powered past everyone on minimal whip .....no trotter comes close to its back half and so in a short field, he cannot be out hustled in the last half. If PMac leaves early, it may set up the horse for failure so if so......pick the horses with the good back halfs next such as:

Maybe:  #1 #6 #3 > all 3 can produce a back half around 55'3 to 56'2 

....the other 2 horses need to go on the lead and there is slowing fractions...its the only way and so with going for $34 000....that is not gonna happen
