Friday Racing

Very few scratches on the Churchill card but one does allow Billy Mott's first timer Runaway Rockette to get in with Johnny V moving to this one & replaced by Brian Hernandez on #2. in Race 5

R1..I played a ex/DD wheel with #9 Whispering Pines

She missed the break, ran wide the entire race, raced greenly, didn't look like she wanted to pass anyone & didn't. #4 @ 13-1 won

Bad way to start the day.

Not really excited about the next couple of race.

Race 4 I think it's between the 3-6-7-8.

I think they will have to catch Johnny V on #3 & I expect Tryler to press this one with # 8. I like the jock upgrade to Geroux on #7 & I think Manny will  closing with #6 and Manny.

Tri key 6 with 3-7-8 

Wellllll...they couldn't catch Johnny V on #3; #8 held for 2nd & #6 got 3rd.

Put the wrong horse on top & should have listened to my own capping.

Ex paid $42.40 & the $1 tri was $55.50

R5 has a bunch of first time starters with some excellent breeding with no apparent chalk at first tote flash.

Race 5 #10

Tom Amoss likes Tyler when he has a speed ball like he did here with #10 because of his ability to get horses out of the gate which he did. But Brian Cox has a real nice looking filly in Travel Column & Geroux sat off the pace, pushed the button & took off.

#10 paid $6.40/$5.40..oh well

Race 6..I expected Hog Street Hustle to scratch here since he was also entered in the opener tomorrow as well. I like the 5-7-8 here but so does every one else. So I'll play..

DD 5 with all & see if I can catch a bomb in the 7th.

Nipped at the wire...

I started to laugh because I saw Paco looking to the inside while Javier was coming on his outside & thought he caught Paco looking the wrong way & expected Javier to go right by him but he never could get passed a very game Brett Calhoun colt.

But then PACO got DQ'd for "herding" which I think was a total bullshit call. He drifted a little but the colt wouldn't change leads in the stretch. I think Paco's dirty riding reputation cost him the race.

But...it keeps me alive with everyone in the double with my #5.

The French connection of Geroux/Casse went gate to wire with #6 giving me a feeble DD of $29.

35 minutes to post # Churchill for a 5 horse field just for TV is a bunch of crap.

I think #1 with Geroux & #7 with Leparoux burn each other out on the lead & Santana closes off the speed duel with #3.

R9...I think #3 Sharing with Manny wins this one.

Sharing took care of business with Johnny V running 2nd with #2 but my other 2 didn't run well

R10 & 11 have some chalky selections.

R10 #2 McKenzie scratched out of his last race @ DMR & shipped east for this one. #6 By My Standards didn't finish his last 2 ending up 2nd in both. I'll take Money Mike Smith on McKenzie.

Race 11....how do you beat #8 Monomy Girl who has won 11 of 13 & could be undefeated except for vetting DQ's & losing by a head? I like #2 Vexatious a little bit & #6 She's a Julie for Assman loves CD. #7 Lady Kate has won 2 in a row & attracts Javier. #1 Horologist will be in her 18th race & her 9th different track & won @ Monmouth last Time up with Jersey Joe but now gets Johhny V.

Tri key 8 with 2617  

Monomy Girl is something real special. Surprised the tri 8-7-1 $57 for a buck.

I'm playing a Manny Franco Oaks/Derby DD 8 with 17. 

So is it the speed ball Cali shipper #5 Gamine or is it tough as nails #1 Swiss Skydiver or always right there # 4 Speech? 

I love this stuff.

Cali shipper McKenzie didn't run well earlier but I think Gamine can run all day.

Tomorrow he has a mount in 10 of the 14 races.

Big time purses all over the country tomorrow. Possibility of IRS tickets....
