Surprised to see Billy Mott entering Knightsbridge in the Classic to run against his stablemate Sovereignty. Mott said the decision was made by the Godolphin owners who have wanted to win the Classic for years & these are their best 2 chances. Junior Alvarado can't ride both in the race so Luis Saez will ride Knightsbridge. Is Junior's decision to ride Sovereignty a tell that he likes him more? Will Knightsbridge be a rabbit for Sovereignty? Saez is really sharp on the lead.
On last-3 Beyer averages, that puts the top three pre-entries in one race: Knightsbridge 109.3, Sovereignty 108.7, Forever Young 108.3. Less than a point apart. Knightsbridge also has the best single number of the group, a 122.
