The numbers just don't support your opinion. I wonder how many of his games you've actually seen, being in Buffalo. So if you're not basing your opinions on numbers, and you're not basing it on the eye test....

I'm not going to waste time listing all of the quarterbacks in the league Kap is better than, starter's included but I will agree with you on one point, the NFL doesn't care about race or crime. The thing is Kap isn't a criminal and this thing isn't so much about race as politics. Like I said before, a similarly skilled white QB would be treated just the same.

So you're saying, in Buffalo, you watched multiple niner games? Or you watched one. I watched every game. I saw a guy who was the lone bright spot in anemic offense under thr first (and only) year of Chip Kelly. I saw a depleted O-line and a WR group right out of, I don't know, tbe arena league? NFL Europe? I saw a guy who outplayed Blaine Gabbert in that same offense. Blaine Gabbert who NEWS FLASH: HAS A JOB! So tell me another one.

How many games did every QB in Cleveland win? How 'bout the Jets? The Niners were a bad team but that's just it, they were a baaaad team. Owner, G.M., Head Coach, every unit on offense, defense, and special teams. Kap was literally the lone bright spot. I'm not trying to defend the guy, I couldn't really care less. It's just that being from the Bay Area I watched all of his games. So I know the notion that he can't play is bull. H3ll, Kap is better than Tyrod. If they traded fates, and Kap had the relative stability that Tyrod has had, and Tyrod was a part of the circus that is the Niners, Kap would have waaaay better numbers. Now if you disagree with that, i'd respect your opinion as you've watched Tyrod more. Just the same i've watched Kap more and i'm telling you, he doesn't suck.

League scum wasn't my phrase. I was making a point to the guy who called them that. The point was that the problems they've had have nothing to do with Kap and everything to do with the owner and the former GM. Not my opinion but a widely accepted fact in the Bay Area. I'm actually a Cowboys fan. I'm from Oakland and when I was really getting into football they were in LA. Since they've been back I support them. I go to games. I used to always go before my brother moved away. I used to hate the Niners (Cowboys fan) but i've always watched them. My entire life I could always count on the Niners being on TV. Even when the Raiders came back, the NFL had their blackout rules structured so that a team would have to sell out by Thursday. Even when the Raiders sold out it usually wasn't by Thursday. It's a blue collar market. The Niners were on every week though. Over the years, as the Niners and Cowboys both got garbage, the Rivalry died. I found myself growing to pull for them. I watched them closely. I'm a football fan so i'm gonna watch what's on. Plus many of my friends plus my mother and sister were Niner fans. I watched closely with the eyes of a young capper as that team went from a storied franchise to a joke back into a winning team and finally back to a joke. I watched them go from being run by "Uncle Eddie", a hall of famer, to his sister, Denise, to her husband, John, and finally to the young brat, Jed. And i've watched a endless carousel of coaches, QBs, and all the accoutrements. Oh yeah. There was also "worst G.M. of all time, Trent Balke, sandwiched in there. So i'm telling you, their failures as of late have nothing to do with Colin. And make no mistake, i'm not defending the guy. Playing in the NFL is a privilege. Opting not to sign a guy to your NFL team is a right. I think too many people get rights and privileges confused these days. Kap gets it, as you don't see him whining about not having a job, but all of the talking heads on TV need a lesson in this point.

The funny thing is I did debate that thread about voter fraud with Ken. And while I didn't pull a single punch during the debate, the thread ended with Ken and I saying that how we respect and appreciate the sacrifice Slim has made for this country then Slim and I saying how we respect and appreciate the sacrifice that Ken's father (the man in the picture) made for this country. You see, even if it is just covers, Slim and I aren't too self absorbed to actually learn something about a fellow covers bro as opposed to smugly misidentifying someone's picture. And Ken and I realize that you can debate something with respect, without being inflammatory, and when it's all said and done you can  like gentlemen. Whata concept.

But, the difference between Ray, Vick, & Big Ben is all of those things happened off the field, and there's no video proof of any of it (like Ray Rice) so, "The Shield" wasn't directly affected by these things. Especially when it comes to something like "protesting" by sitting down during the National Anthem before the game! America's song before America's beloved sport?!?! Might as well shoot down a bald eagle and $#!t on an apple pie while you're at it! That being said, in the NFL talent will always trump integrity, which even with all of his negative baggage is the reason Kaepernick's name is still being thrown around. I've never said he wasn't gifted enough to compete at the NFL level,  just stupid acting and "misguided" in his "beliefs". There's not one single team that couldn't benefit from a Colin Kaepernick on their team, but, could they deal with the fallout that would come with it?

Here's what he should do. He should take this year off, and during that time maybe donate some time, money, or both to a police officer relief fund or the military, then around March of 2018 apologize profusely, then come back and lead the Browns or somebody to the playoffs - all will be forgiven.....

He should do nothing of the sort. The one thing that get's lost in all of this is that we don't even know if he wanta to play. The media makes a big deal of all this. We, the fans make a big deal about it. Meanwhile Kap has been pretty mum. And I respect that. As I alluded to, this whole think is a much needed lesson to the youth on rights and privileges. Protesting during our country's anthem is a right. Personally, I don't respect any able American that doesn't stand for our National Anthem but it is his right. Deciding you don't want to sign Colin Kaepernick to a team you own, is also a right. Playing in the NFL is not a right. It is very much a privilege. The best thing Kap can do is what he's doing. Takes his bumps like a man to show the youth that the decisions you make, though well within your rights, have consequences. And that nothing should be taken for granted.
