Why Kaepernick cant get a job

Baltimore was considering signing him......The owner reached out to Ray Lewis who is very popular in the community to get his take on how the community will react to Kaps possible signing ....This is the same owner who hired Ozzie Newsome as their GM who is african american.......Then Kap tweets a picture of the Ravens owner portraying him as a slave master and of Ray Lewis portraying him as a slave hugging his master....Yeah really.

Now Miami is considering him......Oh yeah but wait....Kap wore a Fidel Castro T-shirt the last time he was in Miami where a large portion of community are Cuban exiles or families of Cuban exiles.......Castro was a murderous dictator from Cuba and obviously a much hated man in Miami.....Yet Kap wore this shirt IN MIAMI 

AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY HE CANT GET A JOB....REALLY???

And nevermind all of the protesting, loss of ticket sales, drop of TV ratings and viewership  and potential boycotts  of any team that chooses to sign him will have to deal with.....

I just dont get why people think it would be an overall good move to sign him.

He's just not that good a football player, plus he has the baggage.  If we was a better player, he'd get signed in a second.  If he didn't have the baggage, he'd get signed.  Same goes for Ray Rice...

We also don't know his contract demands.  If he is holding out for 10 mil a year, that could be the reason he isn't signed.  For all we know, some teams have offered him 3 or 4 mil a year and he turned them down.

As a black man i'll take a stab at this. I think Kap looks at Ray Lewis as a house n*gga and his stancd is he'd rather be unemployed than be that.

Ray Lewis: "Now you be good fa massa. Just keep ya mouf shut and dance real good an massa take care of ya."

And it's Kap's prerogative to feel that way, and to do the thing's that Kao does, just as long as he doesn't whine and boo hoo about why he hasn't gotten a job. And he doesn't. The talking heads on TV talk about it. We talk about it. Kap just stays mum and minds his business.
And anither thing  Ratings and ticket sales were down for Kaps old team but not because of Kap. It was because the fans are fed up with spoiled brat owner Jed York. They were fed up with Trent Balke. They didn't care for Harbough leaving and Chip Kelly being brought in. They are fed up with their beloved team, a storied franchise, being ran into the ground. Kap? Fans more a less liked him. By all reports, his teammates did as well. This notion that Kap could be single handedly responsible for toppling the mighty NFL, that he brought down ratings and fan interest for teams that he wasn't even playing against, even in when his team had a bye and wasn't playing against anyone, is utterly ridiculous. It's a cop out. "The Browns are on but i'm not watching because 3,000 miles away Kap is silently protesting." No, they're not watching because the product sucks.

And we need to get past this, "he's just not that good" bullcrap. He's probably better than every back-up in the league and some of the starters. The numbers back this up. A better way to put it, and you alluded to it, is that he's not good enough to make a team take the risk. It's a risk vs. reward thing. And that is a teams business because after all the NFL is just that, a business. Like I said above, Kap isn't boo hooing and asking why he doesn't have s job. So why are we?

kaepernick is a great, true conservative american who knows we have a serious problem with government and government accountability in this country.  he brilliantly drew an incredible amount of attention to his cause in the most peaceful and non-intrusive way possible.

of course, that comes with repercussions, but any good protest does.

The guy can't play, he's not good. He can't throw it more than thirty yards down the field ....and runs after his first two reads are covered. You must suck if an arena league QB gets picked over you.

America is taking a knee on Colin Kaepernick.

He won't be Baltimore's quarterback.  But I have to say... He would be a perfect fit for their mayor.

I dont think he would get signed even if he were an average QB....
Maybe if he was a Pro-Bowler and apologized up and down for offending a large portion of the NFL fan base.........Some people may think that its not un-american to kneel during the national anthem but most do think it is un-american.......You cannot tell people what they should or should not be offended by......He is also anti-law enforcement......When he wore those socks portraying cops as pigs he was making a broad statement....

Then he refers to the Ravens owner, who has a black GM that he hired, as a slave owner......And Ray Lewis as a slave hugging his master........

Why would any owner want this below average QB to represent their team?

Why does he have to offend so many people and their values to protest his cause....If his cause is police brutality than protest that specifically in the off-season instead of attacking anybody that he feels like who has nothing to do with police brutality....

Then he insults the majority of cubans in Miami by wearing a Castro T-shirt.........What  does that have to do with what he is protesting?

It seems like he is doing everything he can not to be signed except committing crime...............AND some people are actually blaming the owners.....UNREAL

Slavery in my opinion is the most repulsive institution in the history of this country............By comparing Ray Lewis as a "house n*gga"
and the Ravens owner as a slave master seriously diminishes the atrocity of the institution of slavery......To compare Ray Lewis as a slave downplays the horrid hell what actual slaves went through.....To compare Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti as a slave master downplays the cruelness and the evil of what slave owners were.

He did a disservice to his cause.....Nobody ever discussed what he was protesting  they were discussing how he protested......

When most people think of Kaepernick they dont think about police brutality or vice versa........Nothing will get better because of what he did and especially how he did it.

He had no idea that how he protested would cost him his job.....When it started to set in he said he would stop kneeling for the anthem........He is a fraud who grew up in well to do household in the suburbs.....Never began to show concern of social injustices until he met his socially outspoken girlfriend...........In 5-10 years from now he will regret on how he went about all of this if he already does not..

i disagree with that.  people who don't like protesting the government didn't want to discuss it and people who don't like to see minorities protesting didn't discuss it and people who love the government, particularly police, didn't discuss it but plenty of other people who were interested in this issue or understand about our government accountability problem discussed it and continue to discuss it.  people hear what they want to hear.

When most people think of Kaepernick they dont think about police brutality or vice versa........Nothing will get better because of what he did and especially how he did it.

can't say i agree with this either.  his cause continues tog et a lot of attention as does the issue of police brutality and government accountability.  garbage, police departments are going to police cameras more now than they ever did.  and how we calculate what "most people think", i have no idea. 


He had no idea that how he protested would cost him his job.....When it started to set in he said he would stop kneeling for the anthem........He is a fraud who grew up in well to do household in the suburbs....


i wouldn't know what kaepernick was thinking while he was starting this.  i'm not sure how he's a fraud though.  has he ever denied his upbringing?  has he ever said he grew up in the hood when he didn't?  does one have to be poor or from a bad neighborhood to bring attention to police brutality and lack of government? accountability?

really?  have you studied The History of Colin Kaepernick?  have you read his autobiography?  how would you know this?

He's plenty good to play in the league and there is no doubt he'd be on a roster if it weren't for all of the other nonsense.  Everyone can have their own opinion as to whether they think the owners are screwing him.  It's a free country last time I checked and both Kap and the owners seem to be exercising their freedom to make decisions.  And I'm OK with all of it.

Name ONE OTHER COUNTRY on this big blue marble we live on that would pay your $tupid A$$ millions of dollars to look at: read 1, read 2, then tuck a football and run for 5 yards.....

It's 2017, yes each of us deal with 'injustices' against us on a daily basis, but do you make a public case out of it? And risk not only your career but the careers of your "peers" and the "company" you work for? 

It's called FU##ING life! $#!t happens to everybody. Do you enjoy collecting a paycheck for millions riding the bench behind Blaine FU##ING Gabbert?!?! YES?!?!? Then STFU and Stand TFU when the National Anthem is being played and thank FU##ING God you're $tupid adopted A$$ was born in the U.S.A. instead of some third world $#!thole where you would've been choked out at birth and your corpse used for some weird "religious" ceremony.....

I agree with Mikes points. I've been following Mikes points. Kap was the wrong guy for this. I'm from the Bay Area, and I had business in Reno around the time he was there. I've been following this kid since he was a freshman in college. He's smarter than people realize but he's kind of an introvert. He could've put an end to all of this by simply saying, "I'm not protesting the troops. I'm not even protesting the flag. As great as this country is, WE have our flaws. And as a country, as a family, we need to talk about our issues." He would've gotten a completely different reaction, his message would've been more well received, but that's not who Kap is. Now if say, Richard Sherman would have done this, blowhard that he is, it would've gone over better beause he has no problem vocalizing his feelings. And people hate Richard Sherman but his message would've still been heard. Kap has barely spoken at all though out this whole process. We, and the media, has made such a big deal about him not getting a call and we don't even know that he wants to play.

Poor Colin, no team wants him, or his Angela Davis (ridiculously outdated) hair-style, his wounded knee, or his clubhouse drama, the guy was booed unmercifully in San Francisco when he took his first 'knee' and it never let up...now he's an (NFL) outcast, both on and off the field. The price one pays for mixing a football game with on the field unwarranted protest. maybe he should ask a CFL team for a tryout, maybe he should cut his hair, maybe he should get down on his hands and knee's and beg for forgiveness, maybe he should say "I made a mistake, please NFL teams, give me another chance to redeem myself, it'll never happen again, unfortunately, he may never take another snap in a NFL uniform again; I truly hope I'm wrong on this one, he had two great seasons with the 49ers, went to the Super Bowl, made it to the Pro Bowl, and still has plenty left in the tank..sad

I went to two games last year, watched the rest on TV, and I didn't here any booing. What I don't get is that if he hasn't even expressed interest in playing, hasn't cried or complained about not getting a call, why are we even talking about this. The sports media makes it a story because they have nothing to talk about in July/August but Kap hasn't said anything. The best thing we can do is just let this story fade away.

If Kap was white he'd be getting treated the same way. Maybe not if he was Tom Brady but if Blain Gabbert did all of the same things he'd be out of the league as well. Don't get me wrong, Kap is better than Gabbert but they're comparable. I'm disappointed in Kap that he hasn't been vocal throughout this whole process. He's let the media write his narrative for him and basically create their own words for his actions. It's sad because he's not a bad guy. He's not Ray Lewis who killed a guy, beat the case, then came back and danced around like some Stepin Fechit right into America's heart. That's not who Kap is He's a very introverted guy and it's his prerogative to stay silent. Much the same it's those owners prerogative to not hire him. That's what that flag and that anthem represents. Freedom. That's what people like that man in ken's picture fought and fight for. If we were in North Korea they would just shoot his @ss. This country has flaws. Racism does still exist in a big way. We've come a long way though and we're still striving to be better. This is the greatest nation on this planet. That's why when that song starts to play, I stand my black @ss up proudly. I put my hand across my chest and either bow my head to those that have died for this country or I look to the sky to the god watching over it.

KAP SUCKS

Been washed up for 2.5 years now .....

Last year he was just a Carnival show 


The NFL does NOT CARE ABOUT RACE ( ANYMORE) OR players who commit crimes


RAY LEWIS went on to be the face of the league after comitting murder 

Vick tortured and killed dogs , went to prison and came back 

BIG BEN Rapistberger keeps Raping women with NO accountability .....


KAP SUCKS and should go join the Chicago Police force so he can make a difference
