Why is it racist to build a wall on the Mexican border?

Besides if a wall was built then a tunnel will be created.  Anyone who believes a wall will solve a problem is useless as tits on a bull.

Even though...

One:That's your opinion.  Many people thought we would never have a black president.  Hopefully if a wall is built it would be more successful than that fiasco though

Two:This isn't shop class or medieval warfare.  If the wall is built it wouldn't be scalable with a ladder and a rope

Three:Shown to be biased misleading and inaccurate.  Maybe you didn't read that part of this thread

Four:Well isn't that a pleasant thought to nominate as post of the year!  Lies and inaccuracies followed by wishes of death to those who disagree

For decades, border security has been a controversial topic subjected to legal, political, physical, economic and financial constraints.  In American history, biggest improvements in border security have been under Republican Bush and Democrat Obama.  For years, illegal border crossings have been diminishing.

If that's true it isn't necessarily due to increased or better security.  It would be like opening a damn holding a man made lake and saying over time not as much water is flowing and not as fast.  You can be sure if you then filled the lake back up (deportation) and closed the damn (build the wall) the pressure would be just as high as before though.

That being said I was not impressed with Trump's most recent showing.  Wish Kasich took a hard line on immigration and national security

Actually, Centaur clearly provides the most coherently expressed opinions to be found in this thread. He is reasonably well versed in the subject matter, and does a decent job refuting those who disagree with his views.

Personally, I don't believe the wall will ever be built, but I appreciate intelligent discussion regarding such, and Centaur provides that.

Also of note, it is painfully, and boringly predictable that the lefties all share the same negative opinions regarding the wall, and mostly everything else to do with anything coming out of the GOP's mouths. Same goes for the righties. It is this truism that has made Trump so popular. The people are tired of the same old BS. Regardless of your party affiliation, IMO we should all hope and pray for change, because the political machine has run amok. I will not vote for Trump, but at least he offers change ... change for the better? I'm not too sure.

Kasich had a very good debate. Admittedly, amongst that sh!t-show, it wasn't difficult.

If Trump gets the GOP nod, bringing on Kasich as VP would probably get him the important Ohio electorate.

Unfortunately Kasich has stated he has no interest in VP, he would rather be Gov. of Ohio

Food for thought ...


I'm trying to understand why Kasich has stayed in the race, as he is obviously hurting the other candidates chances of catching Trump.

I want to take Kasich at his word that he will not run as VP ... but, IMO, that makes more sense than him believing he can win this thing.
