Why is it racist to build a wall on the Mexican border?

Of course we all know "racist" gets thrown around a lot these days when people have no logical argument or facts to use

It just seems desperate even for race baiters to scream it's "racist" desiring to build a wall on your country's border to keep out illegal aliens and disrupt drug smuggling

I don't think anyone of intelligence is calling it racist. Just very expensive. About 20 billion worth.

I agree it is an unintelligent argument.  Yet there are plenty of media and I'm sure posters on here who view it as racist. Despite their flaws, these people are not stupid.  Illogical and misguided or deliberately dishonest?

I also don't get people who act like it's such huge unattainable project.  We can put astronauts and satellites into space and keep them there, invent and maintain a colossal web of information at everyone's fingertips, but putting up a wall is too much to handle? 

The estimated cost is only about 1 year's budget of NASA, and only .5% of the 2016 federal budget.  That's half a percent of the 2016 federal budget.

Almost half of the federal budget is paid for by income taxes.  I propose if it is impossible to get Mexico to pay for it for some reason, I will gladly pay an extra 1% income tax to get it done

i don't think it's racist to build a wall that spans the border between the U.S. and mexico.  i also don't think it's racist to build a super highway between here and mars.  and the chances of one happening is about the same as the chances of the other.  don't tell trump supporters though.

If the usual suspects on here, you know, the ones who think shooting a charging 300 lb male who just punched you and robbed a convenience store, or getting rough with defiant mouthy youths invading a private neighborhood is racist, if they come in and all agree a wall is not racist then fine.

Isolationist and useless huh?  I guess you don't have a fence around your yard or walls and doors around the place you live?  Oh that's just for temperature control I guess.  If you don't have a fence and people kept walking through your yard and some even pissed and dumped in it, would you put up a fence?

Amazing to me some people think the idea of protecting your country's border that is constantly breached illegally is somehow idiotic, isolationist, etc.

Why would Mexico pay for this wall?  Because they rape our country in trade and their illegals funnel mucho dinero back to Mexico among other reasons.  Also, if we can get them to, why not?  We pay for other country's shite all the time.

Two:It's not going to be a 10 ft wall, jeez.  With a moderately high wall, how are a group of Mexicans going to undetected traverse inhospitable terrain carrying a ladder big enough to scale the wall which will among other defenses have no top platform to fuking stand there and pull the ladder up so they can climb down it on the other side.  I'm no wall engineer but I would think it's pretty simple to solve the ladder "problem" in various ways

Three:"About 40% of immigrants from Mexico come by plane."This is typical of leftopaths.  Whenever they try to make supporting statistical references you can be sure it's misleading and unsubstantiated. 

-First of all we aren't trying to stop "immigrants", it's illegal immigrants. 
-That 40% figure you are referring to are overstayers, people who entered legally but overstayed their visas.
-The vast majority of those overstayers are not Mexicans, they are from other parts of the world.
-Those overstayers already passed at least one screening to enter the country.  The vast majority of the criminal elements from Mexico
entered by land obviously unscreened
-Even the pundits who quote this 40% number admit there is no concrete data to back it up, it's mostly a gut feeling

Ah I see you've selectively answered one part of the total question.  I will play along and assume you forgot about the more difficult parts of the question.  Let me refresh your memory

-Do you have walls and doors where you live?

-If people kept walking on your lawn and crapped, pissed, and littered on it, would you build a fence?  Unfortunately the USA's southern neighbor isn't quite as nice as your East Coast neighbors you see.

Much like the other "walls" built to keep foreigners out, if and when this thing ever gets built, a few years later when it "comes down" (under some, *ahem* more than likely liberal a-hole agenda) and there's a bunch of fake "hoopla" over "freedom", whatever the giant corporations are at the time will capitalize on it like vultures on a deer carcass after the lion is full........ like, oh, for instance, Starbucks at the Great Wall Of China:

You are delusional if you think a wall will prevent illegal immigration.  Tunnels, boats, airplanes, balloons, forged documents, the Canadian border, etc.  

What we need is a super freeway from California to Hawaii. Or would that be racist towards China. 

Politifact rated the claim that 40% of illegal immigrants arriving legally as half true.  Actually, the number may be higher according to Pew Research and Migration Policy Institute.  Meanwhile, Politifact rated Trump's immigration claims as mostly false.
